Wouldn't go that far.  Remember I'm a guy and I shop like a guy!

She's done fine.  If you go to the third Monday of the month support group you might meet her.  She is below goal but still buying the wrong type clothes and has the "big" hair TX women are known for.

Probably have some up on the "fun board", to use Bender's terminology, after the ATL conference this weekend.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

It took me a long time to get out of wearing the favorite color of fatties everywhere - black.

I coudln't believe how much black-colored clothes I had as a pre-op.  It really took a conscious effort to shake that impression that I still needed to wear black to look thinner, or at least not as huge ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

I NEVER wear anything stretchy anymore!!!  Always wore jeans without elastic waistbands even when I was fat, but at home wore stretchy shorts at home.  Now I look for fitted shirts to show off my new waistline.

I am just now buying clothes for myself after 15 months because my weight has finally stabilized.  Most of what I have in my closet are thrift store finds or OH / RYD conference clothing exchanges.

My favorite though is buying shoes and boots with high heels.  I can wear them w/o my feet killing me and since I am short (5' 2") when I wear high heels with boots it lengthens my legs and make me look slimmer LOL.  Plus I am too lazy to hem some of the hand-me-down jeans.

Just remember--being overweight isn't the only reason some people wear elastic waist bottoms and other stretchy things. My mother, who wouldn't wear regular jeans even if she was skinny, has very severe rheumatoid arthritis. She is physically incapable of working her fingers and hands well enough to work buttons on most pants, skirts, jeans, and even some shirts.  The more stiff the fabric and the closer the cut, the less likely she is to be able to do the fastenings.
