Terrific Tuesday WLS Express

Yes..this is REALLY me..and it really IS 03:40 in the morning..there's no telling how many tracks we'll jump or trucks we'll hit, so hold on tightly......

I got a call last night, sometime after 9pm..I was already asleep...that the "State Survey" team were at my work-7 or 8 of them. It's time for the annual survey, and I guess that's how they do it nowadays-show up at all hours (probably a good thing). I probably should have gotten my carcass up out of bed and gone up there, but I didn't, so I'm going in at 5am, instead. Surveys usually take several days, and our facility is a cluster****, so they have their work cut out for them...lol. There may be 15 surveyors before it's over with!! The patients are precious, of course, but the staff have been allowed to run amuck for years, and it's very difficult for a new company to get a handle on that type of "attitude" in just a few months of ownership. The place is a circus-definently the most "challenging" job I've ever had-but-like I said-the pts are precious, and make it all so "worth the effort

Prayers to all in need -whether they KNOW they need them or not - HE KNOWS !! Hope y'all have the most TERRIFIC TUESDAY ever!!!!!!

I LOVE Y'ALL AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!

Thanks, GEORGE..half the "relief" is just having it DONE, and moving forward, fixing the problems they find, etc. It's the WAITING that's the most nerve racking, I think. I TRY to do things "the right way" all the time, so when I make mistakes, they are "honest mistakes" but not everyone is that way, ya know?...so anyhoo...should be an "interesting" week, and we may all be unemployed at the end of it. Prayers appreciated!

I have to admit I was suprised to see you starting the train- sorry for the reason though! I hope it goes well Gina. I'm sure they will see that you have come in and made some great changes and that this place is finally moving in the right direction thanks to you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you today!
I do not know what is up with me- I am sleepy so early in the evening now. Last week I thought it was because I was so tired from training. I did do alot at work yesterday so maybe its still that, but last night I was beat by 9 again. Then again I do wake up at 4am. I feel like I could doze off at any second though at work and at home. Weird. Maybe its the season changing-who knows! I have to get a physical because my doc is requiring it, and I called the schedule finally- I was procrastinating-and she's booked until March! WHAT? MARCH? So i'm seeing the PA instead on 12/2. I know they only take a few well people appts a day but I didn't expect it to be that long of a wait.
Hugs and prayers to all here! Gaye-hope you are better, Eric-keep up the eating- Jenny-you amaze me. Love you all!

Mary and I have changed our vacation plans.  We are going to Branson the end of the month, but instead of leaving Sunday, we will leave Friday and spend a couple of days with a friend of Mary's from elementary school in Spain.  We have not seen her in 15 years or so.  We are so ready.

I would like a couple of minutes to brag about my son.  He was fired from his job back in late April or early May.  He did not sit around.  He hit it hard trying to find a job.  And he found one he loves.

Last month he told the boss he was going to hit a certain number in revenue.  If he did, it would be an increase in revenue of 30% over the best month the company had ever had.  The boss said you do that and I will give you Cowboy tickets for you and your family.  He missed by about 2%.  This month, he did not know the offer was still on the table.  He blew it away.  40% higher than the company had ever done before.

Yesterday the boss calls him and tells him he has to go to a business meeting.  My son did not want to go, but he went.  When he got there, they did the normal business, then gave out the Employee of the Quarter Award.  Brad has been there 4 1/2 months.  The boss made the comment the EOQ came to him less than 5 months ago saying "Give me a chance, I can do the job.  I will show you I can do it."  When he was hired the company had 3 trucks.  Brad kept increasing the trucks they were using.  And increasing.  The boss told Brad at the meeting "Tell them how many trucks we have now."  Brad says "21".  The boss then told everyone "You guys need to take a look at Brad and get his attitude.  He believes in himself.  And he believes in the company.  He stays positive all the time.  You guys can learn a lot from him."

He loves working for a company that so appreciates him.  Oh, and since he made the numbers last month, he gets his bonus of $500.  Plus the EOQ comes with a $250 bonus.  He is gonna love this payday.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George, you have every reason to be proud of him.  We need more people like him in the workforce today.  Obviously you raised him right!!
