Tremendous Thursday WLS Express

I am strapped in my chair and ready for another day at work.  Yesterday a large downsize was announced, closing 2 bases and drasticaly reducing 4 others.  They poredict a loss of 700 jobs, but that's only at those bases.  There will be a trickle effect and since management and support staff wasn't mentioned I assume they haven't figured out yet how big that trickle might be.  Isn't this fun?  See why I went back to school?  Everyone should have a plan B.  And maybe a C and a D, too. 

Yeterday was not a good day for news around my house.  My mom called to tell us she's leaving her husband.  She already got an aprtment and plans to move mid-December.  Please keep her in your prayers during this life change.  She needs to find peace and happiness and I'm praying she led to find it within herself.

On a good note, school is going realy well.  I'm really proud of my grades and I know that in the end that's going to make me much more confident once I'm out in the real world.  Next week I take on another class for a mini-mester that is actually in my program and not another silly prerequesite, lower classman weedout class.  I'm very excited about that!!

Good morning all, it's a rainy day here in Aggieland. I think we are just ahead of the front, it's pretty muggy!

Thanks to all that responded to my rambling post on my Surgiversary yesterday! your friendship and support means the world to me!! That's what I have been missing for the past several months. i guess FB just isn't filling the void!! LOL I will try to post something at least on teh weekdays, but if not, please know that I am reading  and lurking.

Busy time for me here doing invnetory fo teh first quarter. Sadly our Galveston facility closed down and I won't get to travel there once every 3 months like I have for the past 2 years. I will miss that!!

Thanks for all you guys do for everyone here! Whether you realize it or not, your words or posts may have a wonderful, positive impact on someone reading them! So much support, inspiration and love here....yep, I've missed yall alot!!

Hey You Guys!
I am about to finish up an ARD that we held yesterday. It had been rescheduled four times so I had to hold it the day before EVERYTHING in the world is due at admin. I will be taking a trip to admin as soon as I fini****
After work today is "Trunk or Treat". I get to stay late and help teachers with games and such. It's going to be a long night.
I bought Bailey a pumpkin yesterday so after Trunk or Treat we will carve it. I'm hoping to get home at a decent hour. Between picking Kaylee up from working with her goats. feeding the kids and the animals, studying our spelling words, and various other school projects, there is a LOT to do before bedtime.
Tomorrow is the senior slide show and the senior pep rally. An FFA mom is putting together a skit for the FFA parents. I think the costume is going to involve wearing goat ears and a tail. hmmmm....

Morning,

going to post and try and stay positive.  I will refer to yesterdays' blessing post.  I have a job.. yeah, I have a job.  Family, and friends.

So not only are we 'expected' to work over the Thanksgiving Holidays with NO OT pay - if not, we are not 'team players', today, as we dreaded, we receive shift bids.  We are to put our requests by priority. Of course my current shift is NOT there (7:30 to 4pm, that works perfect with Emm's schedule).  So I typed it in in bold and put a big '1" on it.  The other shifts are hour long lunches that I don't want or need or coming in at 6am or not till 8:30.  They claim it's all for phone coverage, but my job is not phone based.  So they are basically are downgrading my job in a backwards way.  Am I resentful and angry, YES.  Can I handle it, I have to.  So for those looking for work, but this just sucks.  I will be looking elsewhere.

On a HAPPIER,yet scarier note, after much discussion with Emm last night (yes we are speaking again! lol) WE have decided it's time to can my realtor buddy and find us a new place. Enough of the trashy people I live around.  WE deserve better.  This would be a huge leap of faith, but I am waiting and wishing my life away here.  Time to do it and give the worry to God.

Time to get back to actually working. I see the whip in the corner.

Good Morning OH Family!

Cough......sniff....cough....cough.... I'm sick (said in a whiny voice) Going to go to the Dr today and see if I can get a shot. Not getting better and the cough is deep in my chest. Called into work, found out they changed next week's schedule and I'm always off on Sundays and they have me working.It's Allie's 4th BD party! I asked them to trade with someone else. Don't know if I will get to go to Karla's party after all. We are really short handed and it's been really busy. OK positive note Rick's foot is getting better and I'm finding time to get more organized and take back my life. Told Summer I want MY car back (my little bright yellow Ford Escape) she can have the Kia back and Rick can have his truck back. I'm finally able to start cleaning out my old office to turn into a cute bedroom. I know it's past time, but just now able emotionally to get things done. It is really raining hard this morning. Prayers for those that need em and don't we all!

ok trying to post -

long long night and yesterday - we got home about 4 am and crashed  - I of course was wide awake at 6 and 7 and 9 and at 10 I finally gave up and got up for good - still in my pjs 3 hours latter but laundry is almost totally done - finishing up the end of Tim's laundry is always hard so getting it done fast - when i get up and around I will be running the rest of the spiked egg nog over to a friends whose hubby is here till Sat b/c while I can do low sugar egg nog reg store bought egg nog plus spike would not be a happy combo and I woudl rather it got enjoyed - then dumped down the drain or puked back up

scale was up 6 pounds when I got up - now just 4 bad time of month plus to much fast food, chinese and stress and lack of sleep - hoping to have it under control by the time Deb gets here in a week - I can't wait for that!!!!

figured out the budget for while Tim is gone and even allowing for pay screw ups - hey we are in the amry they are almost maditory - we should have the van payed off by Aug of next year - that leaves us in a decent shape finacially to get out of the army if they med board Tim when he gets home - and leaves me with $s for manis and pedis you know the important stuff LOL

going to sit down with the kids in a bit and look at a menu for the next week or so so I can go grocery shopping tomorrow - we are finishing off all the crap food in the fridge today - pumpkin pie, chinse, full fat chick and dumplings, fryed shrimp and white rice -what is left is getting tossed before we go to bed and I am cleaning the fridge good latter - think I will get the teen to take the little kids to the park in a few hours when we are all up and dressed

ok off of here - and back to real life :)

don't forget your vits, water and protien - if I can do it today after shipping my husband off for a year and with 3 crabby kids who were up till 4 am you jolly well can too
