OT? - Did you go poop?
This just gave me a chuckle this morning. Kinda off topic, but not really. Since surgery I found I really have to keep track. Now I will be thinking of this goofy bird every morning so I know if I should take my Fiber Choice tablet.

Thanks. We lost Grace and Rosie, an Amazon, due to infections picked up at the boarders while we were traveling. Yes, they are amazing creature...scary how intelligent they are. And I wouldn't worry about the cats. We had 2 inside cats and the bird Girls ruled the roost, the cats gave them both a very wide berth! I'm waiting now to get a smaller parrot, one a friend can keep for us when we travel. They do take time and care but are SOO worth it! I WILL have another large parrot at some point!
I did have a quick dream of working with one this morning (after seeing the vid). My pets growing up were always parakeets. My grandmother raised ****atoos and had a Grey for a while but had to give it away when she got brain cancer (my grandmother, not the bird). But I know I couldn't give a pet like this what it needs at this time.
For now I am focusing on me and my health. Then, aparently, DH is ready to have children asap. I've wanted one or two children for a very long time. Actually, I gave up on having children several years ago. Didn't think it could happen for me because I could never lose the weight. My poor health and weight likely caused a miscarriage in my first marriage and kept me from being able to have one since (tried for seven years). So, we will see if children are in the cards for our future. In the meantime, I want to go back to school and get a job to get some extra cash flow going in this house. Seems as though our lives are going to be very full for quite a while. I just couldn't take a pet in that I could not care for properly. So I'll just have to come visit you and yours. Maybe we could babysit for each other.

I totally understand. Parrots are very close to having children...they just wear feather suits! But one of these days, you'll know the joys of parrothood!
As for the babysitting....I love newborns and up til they start crawling. After that, you're on your own! We don't have kids, never wanted them, but I do love my neices, nephews and cousins kids. I'm like a grandma....I like to hand them back at the end of the day! LOL!
I'll keep everything crossed that you hear the pitter patter very soon!
