Good morning.  It's raining outside and looks like heavier rain is on it's way.  Ben has to leave in a few minutes to go back to College Station and I'll probably be on pins and needles until he calls that he is back on campus in the parking garage.  He'll be heading right into the bad stuff.

Lots of paperwork at work today to get finished.  I have ARD meetings tomorrow to prepare for and one more other folder to finish.  The end of this week is our TX PEIMS "snapshot" which all funding for schools is tied to.  We're all told at the beginning of school to have everything ready to roll for this day.  I am in pretty good shape unless the electricity goes out!

I have to hem and do the buttons/buttonholes for Ben's bell bottom jeans when I get home and clean up the extra bedroom from all my sewing.  I got some peeps coming in 11 days and I have to be ready!

Prayers for all that need them.

Happy Birthday Diana Cox!  Hope your 40th is a good one.

Have a great Monday.

Karla

GOOD MORNING! I'm going in later this morning because today is the first day of our weeklong consumer training. Its in FW but off site. The consumers will be there around 8am. everyone got checked into the hotel last night and we provide transportation all week. Today I'm helping teach Braille. Tomorrow I get to help teach industrial arts-which means we show them how to use power tools, saws, etc-all with safe guards of course! We haven't lost a finger yet!

We had a date night last night-woo hoo! We rarely get out. We went to Olive Garden and then to see Julie and Julia. It was good and nice to spend some time with my hubby. Chris is at the grandparents today-no school today.

Hope everyone has a great day today!!!

Good Morning Yall,
It was a great weekend. But, I agree with Gina.. not long enough.
I was driving to go meet up with my peeps to go see that scarey movie Paranormal Activity last night and I had one of those AHHH HAAAA.. moments that Ophra calls.
I wondered where my life would have gone if I had not had WLS almost 6 yrs ago. I know I would be miserable and as big as a house. But, I also know that if I had ran across these awesome people called my peeps, they would have loved me and taken me in as I was. That is what you call unconditional love. It is rare and priceless. I LOVE MY PEEPS!!
The movie was very scarey.. It was worth staying up a little late on a work night to see.
This week isn't that busy. The best part is I get to hang with some more peeps on Wednesday hopefully.
Love and hugs to all espeically Eric and Jenny in this very difficult time.!!

Smile, it increases your face value.

Morning, y'all.  I agree - too much rain (and all at once last night).  Wicked lightning too.  0.0

I read everyone's posts and decided not to add anything, then remembered Alissa telling me to keep posting, so I hit "page back" and here I am, trying to start the week off right.  Besides posting, I've already got my vits and meds ready for the week.

Sounds like Q's party was da bomb!  If you guys are anything in real life like you are here....!!!

Someone posted last week about realizing they were isolating themselves.  That hit a nerve with me.  I've been doing that to extremes for a long, long time.  I need to reassess that - dig in and find out why.

On a postive note, my song got played by the band in California Saturday.  They said the show went really well and my song got a lot of compliments.  That's so encouraging to me!  They've also been invited to play a larger event later.

DH and I decided we need to upgrade the master bathroom, so we had a contractor come in for an estimate Saturday.  Because of the age of our house (over 40 years), it's loaded with asbestos and lead based paint - all of which needs to be 'contained' while they strip down old tile, install new up-to-code wiring and plumbing, (not to mention get whatever beautiful sinks and counter tiles I can find) - and the whole thing came to.....

.....

Someone suggested doing most of it DIY.  At this point, I have to consider which is dearer to me, the $$$ or my marriage.  (We've done DIY several times and it involves a lot of miscommunication, critique "that's not straight", snarling, etc.)

So, another adventure looms my way.

Hope everyone has a good day dodging puddles.  Thanks for being here.

ROTFLMAO

I only do DIY projects when Tim is in another country - I find that helps LOL
