Two Week Post Op Surgery Update
Here is the two week post op surgery update for me.
I have lost a total of 30 pounds per my scale at home.
YAY!!
Tummy, face and boobs are melting away.
Gotta love it.
I still have my staples unfortunately, but they will be taken out on Tuesday October 27th at 1:15 pm.
I also will end my liquid post op diet and start real food again.
YAY!.
I have no pain or soreness at all.
I have no gas.
I have no diarrhea.
I have normal bowel movements.
TMI I know, but it had to be stated since I was revised to Distal.
I have no nausea.
I have no depression or issues with hormone fluctuations.
I do have decreased energy, but that was expected and even though I have it I still get out and about as much as possible.
You can't keep a good ***** down.
LMAO.
I just have extreme itching and that is a direct result of my incision healing where my staples are.
I would say all in my all my whole revision surgery has been a wonderful experience and I have nothing bad to say about it.
I am looking forward to using my tool the best way I know how and that is by following the rules.
I am still getting in my protein first, 64 ozs or more of water, vitamin supplements, walking, and following my surgeons guidelines daily.
It is just that simple.
I do what I have to do to achieve the goals that I want to achieve.
It is not always easy, but it has to be done in order for me to accomplish my goals.
I will not be a failure.
Failing is not acceptable in my world.
I will be so happy when I am released to go back to the gym so I can lose even more weight.
I am on a mission and nothing and no one will be able to stand in my way.
Thank you all for your support.
Have an absolutely fabulous weekend.
Be kind to yourselves and one another.

Thank you.
You can do it.
I know you can.
I have mad faith in you.
You may have to do what I call faking the funk.
Even when you feel like you can't do something and you just know in your heart of hearts it can't be done.
Do it anyway!!!!!!!!
Sooner or later you will start feeling strong enough to do it without faking the funk and it will just come natural to you.
I promise.

Thanks Teena! Yesterday was wonderful! Got out in this beautiful weather to see my Goddaughter play soccer in Kingwood. It was awesome! Exceeded my protein even (ok, so I ate an egg a couple days early). My legs weren't swollen, my back wasn't hurting, I could keep up with the crowd without huffing and puffing.....
"Faking the funk." 'eh? I'll have to remember that next time I hit a bump in the road. I have so much to be thankful for to stay in a funk for too long though. ;-) Especially with an example such as yourself. Seriously amazing!

Glad you were able to get out and see your Goddaughter play soccer.
YAY for you exceeding your protein and keeping up with the crowd without huffing and puffing.
I wish you much continued success.

Teena!!!! 30 lbs??? thats awesome...you go girl!!!! rock that pouch out....lol
Bless your heart I know you'll be glad to get those pesky ol staples out....you will feel like a new woman...OMS 30 lbs... i love it.
It sounds like you are doing wonderful, no pain, no puking, no nausea, no diarrhea.....you are just so awesome.........
Thats a lot to live up too, but im trying to follow your lead here with the revision and all.
Girl!!! I talked to a lady here locally and she scared me, she is 16 years postop and she told me she ate roast beef, gravy and rice on the day she was released from the hospital.....WHAT???
She also stated that she eats cake and cookies and a little ice cream....UGHHHH
She is still really thin, but I am NOT going to follow her lead....at all!!!!!!
I have a plan, I have learned so much on OH and from all the posters that I think I am gonna do great.....Im sure gonna try...
Its wonderful to hear your doing so good, please keep us updated if you can find time, I know its hard once you get to "start living" after all that you've been through....im rooting for ya my friend..

Tara,
Thank you.
I am hella ready to get these staples out tomorrow.
I am doing just awesome.
I have no complaints other than those damn staples.
I know everyone has their own way of doing things so it is hard to say what is right or wrong.
I just follow my doctors guidelines.
I have heard stories of women who do just what that local lady you met do and they are just fine.
I just choose to live a healthy lifestyle and eating that way kind of messes that up.
I do eat what I want, but I redo all of my favorite recipes into low fat low carb recipes.
I do on some ocassions have cake, cookies, and ice cream, but they are all sugar free and low fat .
That is what works for me.
I can use my tool and make good food choices all at the same time even while soothing my sweet tooth.
Thank you.
