The NIGH****CHMAN - Thursday 10/22

Good evening all.  WOW!  What a difference a few hours makes.  Went to bed, it was drizzling out and kinda yucky.  Woke up, the sun was out and it was okay.  Three hours later, it's downright cold.

Survivor tonight.  Ready for it.  I don't know if any of you watch it, but previews show Russell down and paramedics working on him.  Not the Texas Russell (the man you love to hate).

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

It was pouring rain this morning but most cleared out by 10:00 or so.  Got some errands done after the rain stopped.  Heather called me all angry about something one of her teachers had done.  When she got home and thoroughly explained the situation, I had to side with the teacher on it and she got totally IRRATE since I didn't agree with her.  She then tells me about something that happened today when she was at the hospital.  Apparently when they are done with their "shift", they are supposed to all meet in one location and then they all go out to the bus together.  Heather noticed one of the girls wasn't back, so instead of just letting the teacher know that so-and-so wasn't back, Heather decides to be the "hero" and go find the girl.  Ok, well, she did find the girl, but when they got back, her instructor told her not to do that again and once she gets to that meeting location, she isn't supposed to take off.  She was trying to get me to agree that SHE did the right thing by "saving the day" and finding this other student (who wasn't lost, but just was a bit late leaving the dept. she was in) and I told her, "no, sorry Heather, it is not YOUR responsibility to herd everyone together - your job is not to make sure everyone is on the bus.  Heather needs to take care of Heather and that's it!"  Wellll, that's TRULY not what she wanted to hear and totally went off on me.  I just stood there looking at her.  She was absolutely 100% wrong and refuses to admit it.  Typical Heather.  I told her if she did something like that at a real job, that could be grounds for dismissal if it was something she really wasn't supposed to stick her nose into.  She just has to learn she doesn't have to be involved in everything and just do what she's told.  Grrrr....  I'm hoping Paul talks to her later.  Personally I think she needs to apologize, but I know Paul...he won't make her.  Just ****** me off that he and I are NEVER on the same page when it comes to discipline!

I'll try to check back later on...

Hi George;

Another exhausting day. Even though I took Valium last night, I only got about 3 hours of sleep. This morning, I took care of some paperwork on the medical job and went and took the drug test. When I was waiting for my drug test, I got a call that someone wanted to see the house at 1-3pm.

I came home, tidied up a bit, and my mom and I went to look for carpet. We've had the house listed with a flooring allowance, but the only negative feedback we're getting is about the carpet. People just don't seem to get it. So, once we move out, I'm going to replace the carpet and remove the allowance. Later this afternoon, I met me old boss for lunch. When I got back, the people were still looking at our house so I went to the neighbor's to wait it out.

I came home at 3:30 and lost the battle with my exhaustion. I took a nearly 2 hour nap. When I woke up, I had an email from the tech company. We're talking again tomorrow morning to finalize the deal. I can't wait to have closure.

I'm falling asleep at the keyboard, so I'm going to sign it off for the night.

Gnight. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer
