losing my marbles

got this idea off another group and am going to try it - anyone want to join me??

"Some group members are using marbles to have a visual of their weight loss.I need to lose 20 pounds.I put 20 marbles in a vase and as I loss the weight I take a marble out of one vase and put it into another vase so I can have a visual of my weight loss. If I loss 3 pounds I move 3 marbles..Just another tip to keep us motivated.."

I have this mental vision of little bottles of marbles all over the house labled differnt things - mom weight, days till Cmas, days left of school, weeks left of deployment etc - maybe different colors for different things?

Good Morning Danni,

I like this idea and I think it may be just what I need which is to have the visual image of what I need to lose. Thanks for sharing.

That's my girl...pretty soon we will have to rearrange the furniture and have the boys bunking together to fit all those marbles in the house.

But then as Mother Nature have you figured out how to make all those marbles with your home grown cotton?

Overachiever.  Love you lots.

nope not making them - not even going to go hunt rocks to use - going to go to walmart and get those little pretty colored stones they sell to go in the bottom of plants or whatever - the ones in the craft section - they are cheaper then the ones by the fish tanks LOL

and I am going to use canning jars I already have
love you too

btw -started online classes yesterday- just orentation workshops but fun anyhow

Early in my journey I "met" a lady in OH chat who did  similar thing. She used colored rocks. By the time she reached goal she had lost almost 300 lbs. She took the rocks and put them in the bottom of her aquarium, where everyone could enjoy them, and she could see a frequent reminder of her success. I had forgotten about that.

I think I'll use sea shells...gotta hit TERRY ANN up for some more!!

I'm thinking anything you can fit in a jar will work - I could go gather rocks if I was that modivated LOL but shells will be pretty - give Terry a hug when you see her from me

Great idea to visualize what you need to do plus your achievement towards your goal!

I can even imagine making a bracelet or necklace and adding the beads/stones as you lose each lb...some of us could have some loaded jewelry by the time we were done!
