BIG MEDICINE TO AIR NOV. 18 AT 9PM EASTERN, DISCOVERY HEALTH

As you've heard by now, we're very excited to let you know that the upcoming one-hour follow-up special of BIG MEDICINE's "Where Are They Now?" will air on Wednesday, November 18 at 9PM Eastern on Discovery Health!
This truly is "do or die" time for the show. We need as many viewers as possible! And we need you watching live -- not via DVR later -- so that the cable network can get a true count for viewership. Nielsen ratings are still used; however, you no longer have to have a Nielson "box" to be counted. New technologies allow the cable companies "access" when you're watching -- they'll know if you're tuned in, so PLEASE put this date and time on your calendar and tune in that night.
If we get good ratings, there is a high probability that we'll get a third season on TLC or on Oprah's new network (she bought Discovery Health last year and it's changing over in 2010).
PLEASE spread the word and tune in! If we don't get good ratings, BIG MEDICINE will go off the air forever. We hate to see that happen because it's had such a positive impact on the lives of so many viewers, surgeons, and has helped educate the public about morbid obesity and appropriate treatment.

I'll be tuned in! If Oprah is in charge of programming, I hope she thinks with her bank account and not her feelings as she's made no secret that she's against any type of WLS surgery. At least she's been that way about her show. The few times WLS folks have been on there with weight loss shows she's had something derogatory to say about it. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!
