Prayers for Jenny R

Ok prayer warriors you are needed big time!  Jenny R is in need of all the prayer we can muster.  Her love, Eric, is in the hospital facing major issues and lots of scary treatment.  His and her families are coming to town (or are already here) and are going to be around to support them some, but I know how special our family here is as well.  Please lift them all up in prayer and ask for healing and comfort and to provide the resources they need right now.

Thanks all!

Debbi

Prayers going up.....

Debbi if you hear of anything she needs, would you mind sharing?  I'll help in any way I can.

I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date.                                        Current as of November 1, 2009
OH Mini-Challenge Goal for New Year's Day is 170 pounds. 11 pounds to go!

Sure thing.  They will know a lot more tomorrow, and I've already told her I'm coming over to help since I know she won't ask (who of us does when we really need it?).  I'll keep you posted.

Debbi;

Saying prayers as I type. I'm not sure what part of town she lives in, but I expect to be up here full time in the next few weeks and would love to help out anyway I can. Let me know what I can do.
Blessings, Jennifer

Prayers going up now. DEBBI-if you talk to JENNY, please let her know she can call me anytime, and give her my number, is she doesn't have it with her. I don't want to take a chance on calling her at a bad time. She and I talked about Eric a few weeks go and I know they were waiting for some insurance to come thru, etc. My prayers are going up for all of them.

Thank you Debbi and all.

Eric is in the oncology ward of Parkland hospital (a.k.a. medicinal wasteland for the uninsured, which we are.)

It is believed that Eric has malignant testicular cancer which has metastasized to his lungs (and hopefully no further to the spine/brain.) They found lesions on his lungs after a chest X-ray so they sent him for CT scans, with another one this morning. Since he made it to the oncology ward so late last night we weren't able to get any results from the tests so I'll be there bright and early this morning so I can get the full details and ask questions. If all goes as planned (in my head at least) he'll have a radical orchiectomy today to remove the cancer (stops the spread) and start chemo after the pathology results come back in a couple weeks. GOOD NEWS IS - testicular cancer is treatable AND curable if found early enough. EVEN stage III metastasis to distant organs can be cured, yes cured, depending on the type of cancer (and again if treated early enough). Doesn't mean there isn't a clusterfuck of **** you have to go through to get there but you do whatever the hell you can to get yourself back to normal - no matter the cost or painful treatment.

As for me, I'm ok. As ok as someone can be who'll likely lose their home and never be able to get another one, have to fight for sliding scale costs for his medical treatment, and possibly lose the only person in my entire life who has always just got me and my crazies without fail. Yeah - I'm a big ol' ray of flippin' sunshine.

So thank you, prayer warriors, for anything you can offer. We need everything you got. And guys - if you're between the ages of 15-35, white (no, I'm not a bigot actually - it affects white men predominantly) check your ******g balls every month. It could save your life.
