PRAYERS NEEDED FOR US TODAY AND TOMORROW !!!

 Michelle.....from what i am told.....there is a waiting list for the places that they are at since they only went in for Detox.   Trust me....I will ask when I go to get them.    I do already have something in the works though.    Teen Challenge has a chapter here in Fort Worth and the girls go to our church.   Now for the men...Shawn may have to go to Midland.    But that is in the works too.    I am trying to give it to God and leave it alone but I have a very hard time of doing that.   As my husband said to me last night....If they want help they will have to ask for it.   We can't make them recover if they are not willing.   I am afraid that they are not to that point yet and that I will have to toss them out on the streets.    I have already resorted to that fact it may have to happen.   It will kill me but trust me....I will do ANYTHING to save them from a life of drug addiction !!!!   Love you and I may take you up on talking if need be.

Vivian I've been gone all week and I'm just now learning about all of your family issues.  I'm so sorry for you and your family.  You have helped them find a new path now it's up to them to walk down that path.  Stand by their side but make THEM do all the work.  Praying for healing for them and for YOU and your husband.  I can't even imagine how heartbreaking this is for you.

 Steph....this is the HARDEST thing that I have ever done.    I love my 3 sons more than life itself and trust me...they ALL know it.    Tomorrow is my baby boys ( not this son in trouble's ) 19th birthday.   I want it to be special for him and not about his big bros problems.   Last year his birthday was ruined by my BIL's death and now this year this !!!   I will NOT let his BD be spoiled this  year too.

Hey Vivian,

You and your family are in my and Matt's prayers.  I want you to know that right now you need to not doubt yourself.  You can be strong with the strength of God.  There are no "if's" in this.  You are calling the shots right now and you need to let your son and his GF know this.  If they see weakness, they will play on it.  You can be weak here and do your venting here, but you need to show them tough love right now and stick to your guns.  I know it's the hardest thing you will ever have to do but your son needs that more then anything right now.  We are here to help hold you up.  Put on a strong front in front of them and DO NOT BACK DOWN!!

 Thank you Annette......That is EXACTLY what I plan to do.   I am going to tell them that I AM now in control and if they don't want me to be.....I will show them the door to my house and tell them to leave.    I don't have to put up with their crap !!!

I'm so sorry for what your going through......its true that he is "of age" and these are "his" problems, but, you have agreed to take him and the GF in.....I myself would not have taken her in, they are not married and she is not your responsibility.....

My husband is the GSR for Narcotics Anonymous, I spoke with him and his suggestion at this point would be to have a written contract with these two, make the rules, put them in writing, have them sign them with a clause that states "We ( you and your spouse)  retain the right to add or adjust the rules as we see fitting to the situation.....because you don't know what these two are capable of....you gotta expect the unexpected.....let them know if any of these rules are even slightly bent that "she" is the first to go no matter who bent the rule....be ready for him to say if she goes I go....think tough love there in that case....

In NA the main focus is to detach yourself and anything in your life that has to do with getting drugs....that's why I say I would not let her in my home, she is an accomplice. Someone to place blame on...if they score the drug,  to keep you happy he may blame her so you dont get mad at him....that goes back to "she is the first to leave no matter what"

I know you only ask for prayer and I gave unsolicited advice.........you say your not a strong person, just don't be weak, don't let this experience harden you.... if you would like to speak with my hubby PM me and I will get you in touch with him....

Thank you for your advice.  I am going to draw up a contract.   I had already thought of that.   I did not want her  here but he said he would NOT come home without her and  her parents don't want her.  Sad situation but trust me they will play by my rules and abide by them or they will both be gone.

I am and will continue praying for you.  You have gotten alot of good advice, and it's all saying basically the same thing.  I wont repeat, but you need to stay strong in the face of it, and break if you need to in private, with us, away from your son and his gf.  I am here if you need a shoulder.  They are not in their right mind.  Drugs do something to your brain that alter your point of view, your personality, your tendencies.
