10 lessons learned from 10 day liquid diet
10. Friends promise to do it with you, but don't make it.
9. Popsicles are your friend.
8. Jello and broth taste better towards the end of the 10 days.
7. Helps when the whole household is doing it with you.
6. Buy enough to last before you start so you don't have to go in a grocery store during the diet.
5. Buy a variety of flavors.
4. Keep busy.
3. Stay away from the break room at work.
2. Billboards advertising food or resurants are bad!!
And the #1 lesson learned from the 10 day liquid diet..................
1. TV COMERCIALS FOR RESTURANTS ARE PURE EVIL FROM THE DEVIL HIMSELF.

DAVID-great list!! You should save list on your profile (if you haven't already)-it would be a big help for those following in your footsteps. Back in the stoneages, when I had my WLS, we didn't have to do liquids, etc...not sure I'd have made it. You have PROVEN already what a successful WLSer you're gonna be!!

We Can Do Hard Things
Thanks for the encouraging comments. Randy and I have both felt the liquid diet has gone fairly easily for us. Randy has done very well at cutting down on his smoking. He went from smoking 1.5 packs a day to 5 cigs a day. He will not smoke anything for 8 hours before surgery I know that has been harder on him since he is cutting smoking and food at the same time. As of this morning I have lost 10 pounds since we started the liquid diet on sunday a week ago. To me this does not seam like a lot for a liquid diet.
