George, I'm so sorry.  I know he was your baby.  He had a great life with the two of you.

OMG George, I'm SO sorry to hear about Flyte!!!  I have just been in my own little hell here with the kids and Paul with their coach, plus, my internet went kaput all day Saturday and part of today so couldn't even read anything if I wanted to.  I know how horrible of a decision that is to make having had to do it before which is one reason I didn't want to go back down the dog ownership path again.  Not a decision that wanted to be made, but was made in the best interest of him and even though we question our decisions back and forth early on, we later realize that was the best thing to do.  Still doesn't make a person feel any better.  Hugs to you and Mary

George, so very sorry for your loss. I know it doesn't feel like it now, but you did the absolute best for Flyte.

So sorry to hear, George ...

What in the world would cause a "ruptured disc" in a dog, btw ..  I always thought that was something just us people suffer from, and b/c we walk upright on two legs  ..

I don't know, but it was a degenerative (sp), so it has been on going.  He had been whining a little bit lately, for the last two weeks.  He normally whined for one of three things; water, food, outside.  With all those matters taken care of, he was still whining.

 Rats ..

Do you think you and Mary might want to get another dog someday?

My bossman and his kids adopted a BIG black lab just last Friday from a client that had to give him to a new home ..    I didn't think they made labs as big as him!       He seems friendly enough ..  hopefully he'll work out for them ..
