Okay - I want to cook this together for lunches this week - but what "moisture" other than oils do I use to cook or sautee' these ingredients together and to get somewhat of a flavor too..........?

soy sauce
garlic
onion
worchestshire sauce ?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?????wouldn't the soy sauce cook down and crystalize in the pan and then burn ?

Help me - guys - I don't cook and don't know what to use !!

I'll be back on later tonight................going to church with a friend (girl) tonightt   be home after 9ish probably.

Hello
My wife steams the chicken breast along with some birds eye mixed veggies then I have made my own spice mixture made up of powders (not salts) garlic  powder and onion powder ground pepper and lemon pepper and ground chili powder and an all purpose herb mix . so I sprinkle that on everything and it gives it a good flavor and then you could add some Parmesan cheese and I think it tastes good. My same spice mix I use for steamed tilapia with the same veggies . mmmmmmmmmm

I would take and brown the chicken in a little oil with salt and peper and garlic  pull it out and then add onions and the squash and do the same - when they are lightly browned on the edges toss the chicken back in and add some chicken broth - maybe enough to make half to 3/4 of an inch in the bottom of the pan - simmer till the chicken is tender - either leaving the lid off and watching closely b.c the liquid will go away or put the lid on and check it in 15-20 mins to see if the meat is done

you could also add a can of tomatoes instead of the broth (the ones with the seasoning already in them would make it super easy) and bake it with foil over it 30-45 mins then take the foil off and top with cheese

you can do it stir fry style
slice the chicken thin, squash also and some onions, maybe a carrot or celery too if you have them - marinate in soy, galic and a bit of galic if you have it - then pull out and fry the meat frist then add the veggies- add the sauce back in at the end - if you like it thicker you can mix a bit of cornstarch with cold water and stir that in and thicken it up - will happen FAST

ok those are my ideas off the top of my head -

My mom would make the squashes and chicken cut up  and add stewed tomatoes,I bet Rotell would be even better with a little parmesan cheese on top. Miss Jean
