I actually cooked tonight !!

But I probably won't eat it............I"m not hungry....................

I made:

90% ff hamburger meat
1/2 cup HOney Mesquite BBQ sauce
Garlic
salt/pepper
onions.

Made these into patties - but they didn't stay that way - I guess too much sauce...turned out to be scrambed hamburger meat caucation !!!  (sp?)

Then:    I made.....................sliced up zuccini and squash.............................

put a little olive oil in a skillet with some minced up garlic..........................sautee' these until soft tender with a tad bit of salt & pepper??

I HOPE MY BROTHER LOVES IT ...................CUZ THAT IS WHAT I MADE HIM FOR DINNER !!

LOL

When I saw that you cooked, I was going to say putting a Lean Cuisine in the microwave ain't cooking.


I made a fritata for breakfast today.  Turned out pretty good.  Probably need less ingredients to egg ratio though.  Used onion, garlic, tomato, bell pepper and bacon.

I guess he liked it...there wasn't any leftovers for me today..............

but    I got 3 zuchininis and 3 squash yesterdya -  sliced them both up and put in plastic containers - so there isn't any excuse not to have some fresh veggies this week....................:)

I got some egg mcmuffins yesterday and canadian bacon to make up some egg, cheese and canadian bacon mcmuffins for me for breakfast this week.....................

I'm really trying to try new stuff because I'm really just getting bored...but my probablem is by the time I get home at 11pm or later -   I don't feel like thawing out something for tomorrows lunch/dinner and then cooking it too !!   hmmmmm

Anyway - I'm trying to do better

I understand what you are saying about being bored, but I am just the opposite.  I would be satisfied to eat the same thing every day for a week.  And I have.  My problem becomes when Mary cooks something different, but we have leftovers of something I know I can eat with no problem, I have a hard time deciding which one to eat.

I'm only 6 days post op so right in the middle of my clear liquid hell.

I have spent all my time on the internet (minus my walking...I am doing that) tooling the internet for WLS friendly recipies.

OMG I can't wait to start cooking again.  Cooking is a real joy in my life and my biggest fear is I was going to be confined to protein shakes and 'simple' foods forever.

So glad you got to cook!  I am just biding my time until I can do so myself.
