Thanks...
On Oct. 2, I celebrated my 2nd surgiversary. I wasn't able to get on the board to thank y'all because I was in Boston for my 93 year old dad's funeral. He lived a great life, so we are all thankful he passed peacefully.
I can't tell you how many people walked right by me at the wake and funeral because they didn't know it was me...until they heard my voice!
Y'all have been the best support a person could ask for. Though I don't post often, I read almost every day and learn so much from each of you...not only how to deal with this new life we've been given, but how to deal with all the challenges life throws at us. There are some amazingly strong people on this board, and I thank y'all for being here.
God bless!

Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband
I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail

Awwww..... so sorry about the death of your dad. I still miss mine everyday.
And I can relate to the voice thing. A substitute at our school asked her daughter (our principal's secretary) who I was and if I was my sister. She recognized my voice, but not me. That made me laugh.
