EDITED TO ADD URGENT PRAYER REQUEST.  The tennis coach (Coach Kaiser) of Jill P's kiddos has been missing since Saturday.  There is no sign of any reason why he might be missing, be it family troubles, car accident, carjacking, etc.  Please pray for his safe return to his family.


Good afternoon all.  This is an unusual year.  Columbus Day actually fell on the traditional Columbus Day, October 12th. 

Hope everyone had a good day.  I forgot I could sleep in and set my alarm as normal.  So I was up 3 hours earlier than I had to be.  I ate breakfast and laid down for another hour or so nap.  Felt good.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

Gina L. - pray for her daughter Nikki. She is 36 weeks pregnant and was put on bedrest last Friday.  She is the breadwinner for the family, as her husband is a stay at home dad. 

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house. And also for Jennifer as she goes to her new place of employment - whichever of the two jobs she ends up at. 

Meggie - friend Nancy passed away.  Pray for Meggie's family as they offer support for Nancy's family.

Meggie's mother has breast cancer.
 
Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers.  Her polyps have been diagnosed as "abnormal" but not cancerous.  More tests forthcoming.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2.

What a day just now getting home and still have some work to
finish. I am so grateful for VPN so I can work at home
if I really need to finish something.
My husband has the flu. I told him it was dehydration but
he insists it is the flu. So he has the flu.
I stopped and got him some chicken noodle soup.
I would rather starve than eat that nasty soup with
yellow grease floating. Would you like me to tell
you how I really feel?LOL.
George, the eight states he lacks are Montana, S. Dakota,
New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island,Vermont,Hawaii,Minnesota.
S. Dakoata will be easier as AA starts service.

Tell hubby he could take a four day weekend and finish all the New England states.  LOL.

Thank goodness there aren't any scheduled or he probably would
try it.  He is driven to finish. He ran beside a person in Colorado
that was on O2. Another state there was a guy that told him that
he had valve replacement-he said his Dr. wasn't happy
that he was running a marathon. Harold said he moved on
as he didn't happen to be trained for a cardiac arrest(being
a computer programmer-really doesn't qualify him to use
a de-fibulator).LOL... Have you ever run long distances?
I  am having trouble getting back in the exercise routine-
Busy at work and home. Dr. Castro says 5 times a week
for an hour each day.-I just have trouble with that much time
with work and a life..

In the military I used to run 1.5 miles a day.  When I was in Comiso Italy, they had a program to reward runners.  If you ran 100 miles, you got a tee shirt.  250 got a pair of shorts, and 500 a sweatshirt.  It was a 12 month assignment, so you really had to want to run to do it.  I ran 92 miles in my first 29 days there (wanted to do all 500 while I was there).  On the thirtieth day I ran 8 miles and put my sneakers in my locker.  To stay.

I know I already gave you the 4-1-1, but for my NW buddies...  We are all worried sick about Heather and Viktoria's new tennis coach, Coach Kaiser.  Coach was last seen out here in Katy at the Academy on Saturday morning and hasn't been seen since.  No one has heard from him at all.  His wife and daughter are just unbelievable sick right now with worry.  All of us tennis parents are as well.  The Katy Times posted it around 1:30 this afternoon and he's also listed as a missing person with the Texas EquSearch group.  Please keep this man and his family along with all the kids he teaches in your thoughts.  This guy really goes out of his way to help kids.  He has helped my oldest, Heather, get through a few rough spots in her US History class as he teaches that subject in her grade level.  He isn't her teacher, but he definitely doesn't HAVE to help her, but he does.  The whole thing gives me a horrible feeling in my gut.  That fear of the unknown.  I told Heather she needs to let me know the SECOND she hears anything, should anything come about during the day tomorrow.  Heather has taken this hard so far, even though we don't know anything.  She is such a caring person and looks out for people.  Viktoria is concerned too, but she is just not like Heather when it comes to stuff like that.

I will update the minute I hear something.

On a good note, both girls who had the flu over the weekend are pretty much back to normal.  Now just hoping and praying the rest of us don't get it!!!

I just read he was found dead in his car.  No foul play is suspected.

That is so sad.  I will keep everyone involved in my prayers.  I am sure they are sick with grief.


Please add me to the prayer list.  I took a leave from work because of health issues, and pray that my short term disability is approved.  With my husband being laid off, I sure can't take no income for myself either.

Hello, George!

Devastating news about Victoria's coach!  Prayers for all and especially this family and all of his students and their families as well!  :-( 

As for an update on me and my family:

I had an endoscope capsule.  I haven't heard from the doctor yet so I do not yet know the results. 

We ask for continued prayers for our family and both my husband and my own health issues.

As for a praise report:  I had been seeking employment and I have decided to put my real estate license to use.
 
I have signed on with Keller Williams Realty, The Woodlands.  Prayers for this new adventure and start up business are appreciated!
