Hello again.  Another dreary day.  Rain, rain, and more rain.

Had a doctor's appointment today.  My white blood cell count is still low, but it is the same as last time (right around 4000).  They will check again in 6 months and if it is still low, they will do some kind of test on my bone marrow.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hey George....
Writing today with a very heavy heart.  Lots of tears today.  My girls are really taking this hard, especially Heather.  We still don't know much and for that matter, a lot we probably won't ever know.  Of course the entire team is shaken to the core and sometimes are having difficulties with the insensitivity of fellow classmates.  The grief counselors were there in their tennis hour today just talking to them.  Some of those boys who always act rough and tough were truly hit hard.  Even though they have only worked with the guy since August, they have worked day in and day out with him so they were all very tight.  The entire varsity team is meeting tonight at one of the girls' houses and they are making remembrance ribbons to wear on their tennis jerseys (which are only supposed to be worn on match days but of course they were given clearance to wear them proudly) tomorrow.  One of THE toughest days of my life having to try to explain what happened to my kids.  Why it happened, well, I just don't have the answers for them on that one.  I fell apart when Heather called me screaming, "no, it's not true, it just CANNOT be true".  OMG, just ripped my heart out.  Her nursing teacher had her sit out today because her head would not have been where it needed to be.  While she was in the counselor's office, I went over there and located her just to give her a hug.  Those kids have so many questions.  I told them the best thing right now is to just be there for one another.

Paul and I are just as shocked.  Just cannot believe it.  Needless to say, didn't get much done today!

Lot of thoughts and prayers for your girls.  I have been through a bit of what they are feeling...

Back in the early 70's our HS tennis coach and Chemistry teacher died in a plane crash.  It shocked the whole school and those of us who were close to him had a double shock.  The plane crased near the border of Mexico because it was overloaded with Mary Jane.  Yep, he was the local supplier, we had no idea...Hey it was the 70's.

They will get through this because they are young, vibrant and very special girls.

THE REPORTER...

Be Kinder than Necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Jill,  Lots of positive thoughts and prayers are sent your family's way.  Keep encouraging the girls to support one another, that's the best tribute they could give, for the Coach they all admired, be strong for each other.  Prayers for his family also.

George......please add Shawn and Natalie to your prayer list.   They are going tomorrow to try to get into a drug rehab.   Pray that they will be accepted....it is a county funded program and since neither one has a job nor any money they will be accepted.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Hi George;

It's been another crazy week. I just read about Jill's daughters' coach and had to go back to read last night's NW to find out what had happened. How very sad. Jill, her girls and the coach's family will be in my prayers.

I've been trying to get a lot done around the house to prepare for moving. It's going much slower than I'd like. Tomorrow morning, we're driving up to Dallas to look at several rental homes. I just told Michael that we're not signing anything tomorrow. I was supposed to get information on Monday from my new employer on taking my drug test and haven't heard a peep out of them. I'm growing very frustrated with the HR representative I've been dealing with. She's completely unresponsive. I don't want to sign a lease until all of the t's are crossed and i's are dotted and I know without a doubt that I'm starting a job on a specific date.

I've also been trying to get in touch to get the office day scheduled with the other company. There's been complete radio silence there as well, so I'm starting to feel like all of the good stuff from last week was a facade.

On the home front here, our male dog is becoming increasingly destructive. I think he senses there's much stress and uncertainty going on right now and since he doesn't have coping skills, he's acting out. I'm trying to find out if I can give him some of my valium or something. It makes it very scary to leave him with a friend tomorrow while we go try to find a home.

On top of everything else, I woke up with a urinary tract infection this morning. It's my own fault. I was running so hard in Dallas last week, I let myself get dehydrated for several days in a row which for me always leads to a UTI. I woke up in pretty serious pain this morning. I've been drinking 32 oz. cups of 1/2 Ocean Spray diet cranberry juice (the 5 calorie one that's got Splenda in it) and 1/2 water all day. I think I drank 8 of them and can already notice a significant difference.

I'll be up for a little bit. Need to get more laundry done before we head out in the morning. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

C'mon now Missy.  Now is not the time for you to get negative.  You been doing so good.  Take a deep breath.  Be persistent.  I am terrible at that.  I call in the morning, if no call by 2:30, I call back and say "Maybe I missed your call, I stepped out for a few moments."

Hope you feel 100% again in the morning.  Drive safely.  Good luck on the house search.  The rest will work out.

I know. It's just I'm a mix of paranoid that something is going to mess this up and I'm still not the most patient person anyone knows.

We've had a tough night with the dog. I'm thinking we should maybe not come up to Dallas today. He's just too upset at this point and I don't know how to help him. I'm going to call the vet when they open at 7am.
Blessings, Jennifer
