I Am Back Home

I just wanted to update you all and let you know that I appreciated all the phone calls and emails of support.

I came home today at 4 pm.

My pain level at this time is a 5 on a scale from 1-10.

I am taking liquid  Loritab.

I am in bed resting making sure I get up every hour and walk around in my apt as well as sip sip sip water and crystal light.


I will detail my journey later on when I can sit up for longer periods of time.

Once again I wanted to thank you all for the love and support that you have sent my way.

Glad you're home, so you can get some quality rest. I hate being in the hospital, cuz they just can't let you sleep and recover.  Now the real work begins, the healing work! Let us know how you're doing periodically and GET SOME GOOD SLEEP!!!

I forgot how hard it is to drink after surgery.

i am getting in as much as I can, but it is harder than I thoughtt it would be.

I will work my magic though.

I hope you are feeling better.

You are in my prayers....  I remember the pain from my original RNY.  Do you have a lot of gas like with lap surgery?  My surgery will be open also.  Since I am off on leave, we will have to have soup together one day soon.  Drinking is hard, but it will get better each day.  As much of a fighter as you are, you'll be drinking with ease soon.  I am glad that you are home and doing well.  Take care.  We will talk more tomorrow.  Get your rest between your walks.

I had a lot of gas with the first lap surgery.

This surgery was open and I had gas with this one too, but not as much as the first surgery.

It is just the pain in my abdomen where the incision is.

That would be cool to go and have soup someday.

Drinking is hard, but I am getting it down to a science.

I am glad to be home too.

I am walking and resting.

Call me tomorrow.

Yeah!!!! you made it home...it was so nice to talk to you.....you sound even nicer than you type ;)
