I need some help

I had lap band surgery in Feb of 2006. In March of 2007 My son and I moved to Fort Worth. Since I don't have a car to drive to Denton I need a doctor in this area. However now I understand that Medicare and Medicaid are no longer paying to have the band filled. So I'm thinking maybe a gastric sleeve or even a bypass. My problem is that I don't know of any surgeons in Fort Worth to talk to about getting a revision.

I need to have a doctor within Fort Worth proper because my transportation is the public transportation.

Does anyone in North Texas know of any surgeons in Fort Worth that take both Medicare and Medicaid?

I don't live in your area, so I can't help you with a surgeon, but did you check out the thread pinned at the top?  It is a thread dedicated to surgeons who accept Medicare and Medicaid.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your answer. I did notice the message at the top but haven't had time to check the whole thing out. Here in the DFW metroplex area its really hard to find a private doctor that takes Medicare and Medicaid. In other words there is a lot of snobbery amongst doctors towards people that are disabled and can't work.
