Now that chilly weather has moved in, I'm craving something warm and soothing to eat.  Can I talk you into posting your gumbo recipe, please?  I'm in the mood to cook.

Tawyna, I posted it......SO many have asked for it before so I'm sharing it with all of you.  Blane said "quite sharing all our secrets", haha; he was joking of course.

Sounds like we all have the same agendas today.  I'm enjoying coffee and me time this morning before I go to the gym.  Then it's housework, laundry and homework.  And I'm also planning on cooking some things up ahead today.  I bought some groceries yesterday but I'm going throutgh some recipes later to find some different things to shake up my routine a little and keep it from getting boring.

Good morning all.  On my way out the door to go to our company's Family Day.  It will be nice to see all the folks that work during the day, since I see them so rarely.  After that is church pictures and then out to listen to my friend's band.  Busy, busy, busy.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning everybody !!!

I got up early this morning to have my quiet time.  Now my sweet fiance is up, and we're getting ready for our first session of pre-marital counseling.  (To get married in our church, you have to complete four sessions).  Am hoping nothing awful comes out that we haven't thought of !!!  Seriously, I'm sure we'll be fine...we've already worked through  a pre-marital workbook and have talked about a lot of things that could be potential issues.

After counseling, we're off to run a lot of errands.  For some reason known only to himself, my finace is in to raw milk.  So...we have to go to this dairy store to get it.  Then we're going to Central Market to get cheese - yay !!  Then to Nordstrom to look for some boots for me.  Now that I'm not gigantic, I'm kinda wanting some cool, sexy boots to wear.  And somewhere in all of that will definitely be a Starbucks run.  Actually, it's possible there might be two !!  (-:

Vivian - We are pretty far away from your son's Starbucks store, I think, but my fiance did buy some of the VIA yesterday and said it wasn't half bad.  He said he liked the brewed coffee better but that as far as instant coffee goes, the VIA was much better than something like Folgers, etc.  So...hopefully your son will be able to sell some of it !!

Have a GREAT Saturday !!!

Marital Counseling.  We went through that and the hardest question we each had to answer was "What do you like the least about each other?"  Simple for me and him

He Procrastates.  Always has always will.

I am bossy.  Always was always will.

That was 34 years ago and we still laugh about it...

Hey Michelle...
Doing the "nurse mom" thing here at my house.  My 7 yr. old, Sarah, was confirmed with the flu yesterday.  YUCK!  I asked them if it was the swine flu but they said it was impossible to tell.  Swine flu is in the "Type A" category and she was confirmed with Type A, but the actual test for swine flu takes over two weeks to culture and get back.  By the time they'd come back with a definitive answer, she'd be over it!  More than likely it is, but, as the doc told me yesterday, the media hyped up the swine flu and it is really no different than any one of the other strains out there, that one just happens to be one of the biggy's this season.  She SHOULD be good for the season though once she is over it.  Bad thing though, middle daughter is showing symptoms that Sarah had early on so I have a feeling I'll have yet another with it here shortly.  We bought that horribly expensive Tamiflu and I will say, it does help quickly.  Sarah can at least move around today where yesterday that poor baby didn't move....until of course the tossing of the cookies started and she did manage to get herself into the bathroom in time.  I just feel so bad for them when they are sick because they don't understand why their bodies are doing what it is doing and it scares the crap out of them!!!  I just can't wait for that 7 yr. patent to wear off so someone can come out with a generic of the Tamiflu.  Having to pay nearly $100 for ten pills is RIDICULOUS.  My husband has fabulous insurance and for the most part, even with prescriptions, they pay well, but NOT for that particular medication!!!  Normally we pay around $20 max and they pay the rest.  With the Tamiflu, it was the opposite.  They paid about $20 and WE paid the rest.  UGHHHH!!!!  It's one thing if it were only one kid, but OMG, if everyone in the house gets it, that's nearly $500!!!  YIKES!!!  Those of us who don't get it this time, and, if that H1N1 vaccine comes out, you can betcha we'll be getting that one!  This flu stuff is MISERABLE!!!  I cannot tell you how much I have washed my hands, either.  I went around the house a couple times now and have wiped off doorknobs, light switches, fridge handles, TV remotes, etc. with Clorox wipes.  Can't hurt I guess....

Ok, back to the sickies....  Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Wow, what a difference a day makes weather wise, huh?!?  Kinda damp and chilly out there!!!
