How nice is this weather???  56 degrees!!! It is beautiful out there!!!

Tomorrow my full time job is having Family Day at Speed Zone.  Supposed to be in the 50's.  That will be awesome.  Mary and I will go and play a round or two of miniature golf, eat and then leave.  It starts at 10AM and we have pictures for our church directory at 3PM.

After that going out to Reposados at 8PM.  White Hot Soul (a local 70s band) is playing again.  We get a pitcher of tea and a plate of nachos and are set for the night.  Mary is a cheap date.

Alex (grandson) is down with the flu and Eddie is sluggish today too.  Hope they get well soon.  At least it hit during the four day weekend for Eddie, so he will miss no school.  He got his report card Thursday and called me all excited.  Straight A's.

So, what are you all up to?

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hi George;

It will be a quick little update as I'm supposed to be meeting Rachel, Sara and some other gals for Girls Night Out.

Yesterday, I interviewed from 7:30-10:05 with a medical supply company for a territory manager position. It was an odd format with three candidates there at the same time and we were allowed to socialize. It was slightly exhausting and while I felt pretty good about it, I wasn't sure if I was going to get it or not.

In the afternoon, I took Rick to DFW as he was going home for the weekend for a visit. After that, I had my interview for the technology company. It went great. I spent an hour and a half with the President of the company and we very much hit it off. Since the team is somewhat small, he wants me to come in for a 1/2 day (paid and lunch) to shadow and meet the team to ensure that the personalities mesh. We haven't scheduled that yet, but it's supposed to be one day next week. So, I think that one is mine to lose if I can't win the team over.

I got back to Rick & Nicole's and my cell phone rang. I was on the phone with Michael and since I didn't recognize the number and couldn't think of anyone I knew in Utah, I let it go to voicemail. When I listened to the message it was the Regional VP of the medical supply company. I couldn't get a read from his message as to what he was calling about. I returned his call and got his voicemail (of course, total Murphy's law!). I left a message and he called me back probably a 1/2 hour later. He offered me the job.

I'm very torn as I'd really prefer the tech company job but the medical company won't hold the job for me for a week. So, this morning, I accepted it. I went and filled out the confidentiality agreement, turned in all of the background check paperwork, got my drug test set up and signed the non-compete. Based on what the RVP told me, it will take a couple weeks for them to get all of the results back, so my start date will likely be 11/2. The day my unemployment runs out.

If the tech company job comes through, I'll contact the med company and politely decline. The tech job pays double the medical company and fits in better with my experience.

So, that's been my week. You can take me off of the job seekers list. :) Thank you for your constant support. I appreciate it so much.

I've gotta run, but I'll try to check in after girls night out. Prayers for all who need them.

Blessings, Jennifer

Words can't express how happy I am for you.  Your great attitude during the whole situation is to be commended and should serve as an example for others.

They're HQ'd in CT. I'll be working mostly in the field as a territory manager, but will need to report to Arlington once a week for a sales meeting.

Thanks so much for all of your support.

Have to say I'm glad it is cooler, but sorry, not THIS chilly for me!!!!  I'm sitting here in my long lounge pants, shirt still the same, but socks on the ol' tootsies!  Poor Sarah, I swear, that girl is down and out with the flu.  Definitely confirmed "Type A" flu.  The doc said it is absolutely USELESS to test specifically for the H1N1 because that takes two weeks to get back and by that time, they'd be over it anyway.  She did get started on the Tamiflu.  OMG, that stuff is horrrrrrribly expensive!  A little over $100 for that stuff.  What are you gonna do though - can't make the kid be miserable for Pete's sake.  She's just happy it wasn't a liquid!  She did start with the ol' tossing the cookies though tonight.  I am keeping a VERY close eye on her as she has been so lethargic today, not drinking anything to speak of, has this 102 fever and now the throwing up.  Joy.  Can we say "DEHYDRATED IN RAPID TIME" syndrome?!?  UGH.  Just HATE it when the kids are sick, especially at this age.  She just does not understand why her body is reacting the way it is reacting.  Paul told her to go eat jello....yeah, that was stupid.  I told him to just go to bed and leave her be unless HE wanted "sick duty".  Hmm, within ten minutes he was asleep!  She was supposed to have her first soccer game tomorrow but with the rains and all, I just got a notice a little bit ago saying the fields are just too wet so all games are cancelled for tomorrow anyway.  Of course....we had snack and I had already purchased a TON of grapes.  Oh well...I will wash them and freeze them for the girls.  They love frozen grapes!

Ok, need to go check in on Sarah.  Stay warm and dry this weekend!!!
