Judy Moved to Kerrville (Update)
I just got this update from her niece Michelle, who is relaying info to her from Patti, a family friend:

Michelle,
Talked to Don briefly, he was very upset at the way LifeCare was treating Judy so he moved her to:
Peterson Regional Medical Center
551 Hill Country Drive
Kerrville, TX 78028
(830) 896-4200
I forgot to ask Don for the room number but will call the hospital and get it Friday morning.
Don told me that Judy now has a skin infection / bed sores and anyone that visits must scrub down and wear a cap and gown to prevent her from getting additional infection. She is talking a lot more and they got her up and she was walking, but having trouble standing up straight.
Also could you forward this on to the rest of the group so that they are aware.

I also spoke to Don earlier this week and he was quite upset at LifeCare of San Antonio, and from what he told me I would not recommend anyone put even a pet in that place. They were leaving Judy lying in her own waste ... She developed bedsores (they were not turning her) and now has major sores on the bottoms of her feet. He had to constantly get on her NAs and nurses to properly attend to her. I am so glad he was able to get her out of there. Don said he was going to get her transferred to the new nursing home in Bandera by where they live, so I'm not sure how she ended up in Kerrville at Peterson Medical Center, but hopefully she'll get a lot better quality of care there.
btw, Don was esp. distraught that he and Judy are going to be all alone at Xmas, since neither has family in the area. I'm going to try to make it down there to see them on Xmas break, and hope some other folks who like to do "visitations" would drop in on them, too. I'm sure Don would esp. appreciate the kindness.

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
