Thankful Thursday WLS express

Good Morning All,
More rain :(   I need to be able to let these girls get outside and rip 'n romp!  Needless to say, those three dolls are the thing I'm most thankful for.  We are a very close knit family, so I miss the rest of my family in La. so much.  I'm thankful I have y'all to vent to and get comfort and acceptance from. 
Can't get my head into sewing mode.  Got costumes to make and don't want to fool with them.  Need to get a head adjustment!  Looking forward to the weekend.

Good morning.  I got up WAY too early, I've been up since 5 am.  I hate it when I get up this early on my day off.  I got my low fat trash mix made yesterday and all the estate sale signs done but I didn't get around to packing.  I guess that's on my agenda for today.  I spent a lot of time on ebay pricing things for the sale.  Dad has some antique liquor bottles and things that we had no idea of the value of.  Anyway, I got all the laundry done and house picked up since I'm working Fri and Sat.  I'll be leaving early Sunday morning and will be gone a week.

I think I'm going to buy my Mom's couches.  They're beautiful and like brand new.  My sister and Mom priced them at $350 for both the couch and loveseat and I know she spent well over $1000 for them.  Getting them back to Texas will be the challenge.

Anyway, I'm thankful for my hubby and daughter who put up with me, that "Mr Wonderful" has a job, that I got a nice raise this week, that Clay survived another round of lay-offs at his job yesterday, and for all of my friends both near and far.

Good morning Train Riders!  I'm thankful for so much in my life.  I am surrounded by friends and family and that is the biggest thing I'm thankful for at the moment.  Through tough times and happy times I know there are so many people I can turn to and that is an incredible blessing.

I'm waiting for a doc to show up here today.  We're trying to get term life insurance on both of us and we've made it to the physical part.  They are going to do blood work, etc this morning and in a week or so I'll know if we get covered.  If they do decide to cover me despite my weight and having had the RNY I'll post some info so anyone who wants to find out more can.  I should get my results from my blood work yesterday later on today.  Hopefully I won't have to go back in for more after this.

Staying busy with work, lots of projects and regular work to keep me going.  We're in the middle of yet another transition from EDS to HP and there's lots of email and training and things to do for that.  Next week I'll get to sign up for benefits and I'm hoping the premiums don't go up too much.

Debbi, I just got term life insurance.  I was afraid that I'd be denied because of WLS (I've heard it has to be 5 years post-op with NO complications) and didn't want to apply.  When i talked to our broker he said he had gotten others approved.  The only question asked that might have alluded to WLS was...."have you been hospitalized in the past 2 years?".  Nope so I didn't get asked anything else.  They did a mouth swap and that's it, no other physical needed.

IF you have problems getting it, I can talk to our agent and see if he or someone with the company he works with can help yall.  It feels good to have extra life insurance in case something happens at least our house will be paid for

I am most Thankful this AM that Jonathan ( my oldest son ) decided to finally come back home to the Fort Worth area from Ca.    I really think that he is enjoying the heck out of being around family and friends and enjoying Mom's ( me that is ) cooking.   LOL    Grateful also for my 2 other sons and my loving husband.    Thankful also that saturday my husband, sister and I will be flying to Las Vegas till tuesday.  Can't wait for some fun time away for stresses in my life.    Ya'll please pray that my middle son gets a job today and his girlfriend also.    I am so tired of paying "their bills !!!!"     Love ya'll !!!

Let's see....  thankful...  I am thankful for SO many things!

My family.....both biological and extended. Friends who get me and accept me even when they worry about my decisions. A good job. Healthy children who have the capacity to do whatever they want to in life,,,, and do. The opportuities that I have. You guys!!!

I am thankful that I work up this morning...even tho the weather sucks it is a glorious day because I woke up on this side of the dirt.

I am also thankful for my hubby, wonderful daughter and my extended family.  You all mean more to me than you will ever know.

I am thankful that my sociology test is over and was easier than I expected, my DH is getting well, I feel better and my old puppy's meds are finally working and she's her playful self again.

 

I'm thankful that I'm flying to Dallas this afternoon to spend the weekend with my sweetheart !!

Today I am thankful for the life I lead and for those who understand when I have to make my home life a priority over WLS life.  It's a slippery slope that I have to tread carefully.

Thankful I'm employed, have a roof over my head, clothes to wear and food to eat.  I'm thankful that I would be able to stand on my own should the need arise.  I'm thankful for a project, although I'd be more thankful if it was billable and out of town (LOL!)

And I'm SOOOO thankful for my friends that understand and are quick to respond when the evil part of me takes over and we can share laughs privately!    And lastly, I'm thankful that I can fall down, pick myself up, bru**** off and get on with life.
