TEEERRRIFFFICC Tuesday WLS Express
I'm over my several day long carb fest, but unfortunately I'm hanging on to the lbs I picked up during it. Yesterday I did well and felt satisfied with what I ate, so I'm hoping to build on that today and start adding the days doing good up. I've got to start preparing for the support group next week. We're going to be talking about Holiday eating and stress. Hopefully we'll all come away with some good ideas and strategies to get us through the next few months.
Off to do my morning chores, hope you all have a great day!

So far its an uneventful day at work, hope it stays that way. I decided not to make the pork roast today, the kids didn't eat the chicken and noodles last night that I made on Sunday, so we will be having that tonight. Its always better the second time around.
Everyone have a great day

Hey, I actually caught the train...it seems like forever since I've been here (I know it's only been 4 days but it seems like much longer).
Mom's birthday party went great. She looks really good for 88-was dressed to the nine's and flitting from person to person chating away. My oldest sister, on the other hand looks terrible. She has a RARE disease (MdDS) that is caused by motion. She got it after taking a cruise and is no longer able to balance or walk without a cane. It's so rare that it took them 2 years to diagnose her. It also causes impared cognitive function. To top that off, she had a stroke on last year. She is 63 and looks 75. It just breaks my heart cuz she was always such an active person. The other sister, the Biotch, was better than I expected-still bossy but at least fairly pleasant.
I leave on Sunday for Arkansas to throw together an Estate Sale in 3 days time. Yikes, I don't know how I'm going to do it. Mom is moving from a big 2 story house into a 600 sq foot one bedroom assisted living facility. I could just kill my sister for getting her such a small place. She's going to go crazy. Darn shame she doesn't live closer cuz let me tell you she has some really nice furniture that we're going to be selling for cheap.
Plan for today is laundry, making Estate Sale signs, cooking homemade spaghetti sauce and general cleaning. Stupid me, volunteered to work 1/2 day tomorrow. I have a lot to do around here before I leave but the overtime $$ is needed so I'll do it.
I STILL "love you more than my scale" but I decided to change my signature line...this one seems fitting...

Gina I had never heard of the disease she has until she was diagnosed. I guess it's so uncommon they don't teach about it in nursing school. If you're interested, here's the link: www.mddsfoundation.org
Mal de Debarquement Syndrome (MdDS) is a rare balance disorder that most often develops following an ocean cruise, other type of water travel, or motion experience. For a few, there is no known motion event; the onset appears to be spontaneous. MdDS persists for months to years. Common symptoms include a
persistent sensation of motion such as rocking, swaying, and/or bobbing. This sensation of motion is often associated with fatigue, difficulty maintaining balance, and difficulty concentrating (impaired cognitive function).

Good Morning OH Family!
Haven't had time to post lately, it's been crazy around here. Summer had the stomach virus this weekend had to keep Layla. Yesterday Rick went back to the dr and they cleaned out the infected tissue, dr is concerned cause we are almost down to bone, major wound care, they are seeing him every two days. If it is not showing improvement by tomorrow they are putting him in the hospital. Simple foot surgery has turned into an ordeal, but what else is new with the "Schulenbergs" Yesterday DIL went to the Dr. ultrasound and check up showed that she had not miscarried but it is still touch and go, prayers needed. I kept Allie yesterday. Will take her to daycare later. But other than that.......nothing much going on here.lol oh one more thing, my daughter told me yesterday I don't spend as much time with Layla as I should......and all I do is criticize her..uuugh! OK.......on a lighter note I'm still maintaining my weight and even thru all the stress have not been stress eating. So for all you newbies you can still handle stress without turning to food. Well better get this morning going.
Your loved!
Lynnette
Ya'll are an hour behind me, and so many of you have already posted - you must be some early risers. (-:
Today I have to go to Chattanooga to do some depositions. Realized last night that I'd forgotten to book a court reporter. I called first thing this morning, and they have someone available, so it's all good, tho. (-: I have my church Life Group at 7p tonight, so will have to leave Chattanooga by 5 pm whether we're done or not. That alwyas goes over well, lol.
Leaving for Texas Thursday evening - Yay !! Seriously missing the fiance.
Hope all of you have a great day !

Good morning all,
Yes, it's still morning. Wow, what a crazy last few days. Josh is officially in the Navy. He was underweight yesterday but they pushed his waiver through and got him on the plane. He was even assigned as his groups leader because of his rank. I got a text at 6:40pm that they got to O'Hare and then the final call at 10:40pm from bootcamp. That's the last I will hear from him for a few weeks now. I am so very proud.
I just got back from a job interview. Praying I get a call back next week for a 2nd or an offer. I think I would like it there.
Saying prayers for all of you. Have a great (terrific) day everyone.
