Good Morning All,
Nice and cool here is A.M.  I love these days.  Wish we could have them year 'round!!  Had a relatively calm weekend.  I needed it.  The ex fixed my gate to my backyard.  Then I helped Carla get Fall/winter clothes out for the girls and sort through them.  Man, what a job with 3 girls!!  Took us hours, but it's done, at least.
Got to get my head into Halloween mode now.  The DD crew wants to go as Wizard of Oz characters.  That means lots of sewing!!  Planning on picking up some blue/white gingham for Dorothy's dress today for Charlotte.
Got my little vanity from my sister that was mine when I was a little girl.  Fixing it up for the girls to play at my house.  Got to make a cute little skirt for it.  I think they will love playing dress up at it.
Prayers going out for those who need them this a.m.  Hope y'all have a wonderful day.

Blessings,
Carol

rain this morning- thinking about going up and wondering around on the river walk in savannah- not sure - this is the last week of Tims leave and then a week or so back at work getting ready to go and sometime before halloween he will leave- they were told they should be in counrty by then- and that is the most we r getting- will tell ya'll once he's gone

maintaining my weight dispites some emotional/uncontrolled eating - stood by the chip n dip last night picking at it sipping on wine for a lot of last night- this was inteligent how? umm  NOT

Good Morning Chosen Family! I hope everyone had a non-stressful and relaxing weekend! We got some very much needed rain this weekend, so it was very easy to sleep in on both days! Bill even went in to work yesterday to check on things and I never knew he was gone! Whoop!

I am feeling as close to 100% as I think I can be, so that is a relief. Flu is nasty, yukky! Bill is back to work today after his bout with pneumonia. I hope he does okay, I know it won't take much to wear him out!

Vitamins in and some LF Cheese for breakfast. On my 2nd cup of Hot Peppermint tea! Yummy!

Prayers and hugz to all that need them this morning!

hugz,
Gina L

Goodmorning, everybody.  Sounds like there's a lot going on, and I hope your 'to do' list gets shorter as the day progresses.

I had such a rough week last week, so last night, I got myself organized with vits and meds.  (If i dole them out - especially the vitamins - for the week, I'll actually take them.)

DH and I have dentist appts this morning.  Such fun!  We got over 2" of rain this weekend, and the water has no where to go.  Our dogs are tracking up the house something awful!

Here's to a good day!  Thanks for being here.

Morning everyone

I'm sitting here freezing at work, I have a long sleeve shirt on my regular work shirt and 2 sweaters on, we aren't allowed to use the floor heaters anymore , they cause the breakers to pop and we lose power in dispatch, not a good thing. I can't wait until we get into our new building so we won't have that issue, but it will be almost 2 years before we do.

I went grocery shopping after work yesterday and picked up the fixings for chicken/noodles.  I made the almost  homemade chicken and noodles last night, it came out really good and all the kids loved it. I had to cheat since I didn't have all day to make my own chicken broth. I used pre-made broth, frozen veggies, frozen egg noodles and a roasted chicken. lol this post has made my mouth water, good thing I brought some for lunch. I feel better now that I've cooked some good comfort food, the kids have got to be tired of fixing quick things for themselves. There is plenty for the kids to eat tonight. I'm planning on making a pork roast in the crock pot on Tuesday since I don't have to work my second job, can't wait for that. This cooler weather has put me back into the cooking mode lol, kids will like that.

I had a really productive weekend, my youngest son and I cleaned out the garage on Friday. On Saturday I met up with my mother-in-law, and my daughter and her boyfriend took my nice shopping for her 7th birthday present. I brought along our gift the boyfriend lol she fell in love with him at Christmas, he is such a good sport about it and my daughter was willing to share him on the trip lol.

I'm starting to count the days until my DH comes home, he has been on a business trip since 0907, he gets to come home on sat 10/10. I get him until the 19th then hes gone again for another 2 weeks. I hate this part of his job, its been years since he done this much traveling and he will be gone more then he is home through January. Thank God the kids are older and I have a second driver in the house.

Everyone have a great day

WooHoo it's Monday (sound convincing?)!!

We had a great, albiet wet, weekend at the deer lease.  Got the feeders all set and I got our deer stand (aka The Palace of Malice) outfitted with curtains LOL.  Not really curtains, but camo print fabric for the back windows to block the through view from the back.  We saw several deer.  The trip Friday night was just that .... a trip.  Going through Weatherford one of the trailer axles broke and we came to a screeching halt in the middle of I20.  King manuevered us off the highway and engineered it to get us to the next exited where we promptly discovered that the lug wrench didn't fit one of the wheels.  Only us   ::sigh::  He turned McGyver and was able to remove the entire hub with just a screwdriver and pliers (and only threw something once!).  I had Bender on the phone and she and Doug were ready to come to the rescue if we needed them (THANKS Bender you're the bestest!)

During all this I called the TxDOT Roadside Assistance phone number, guess what - they don't have units to provide service in Parker County - I sure thought TxDOT covered the whole state, not just bits and pieces.  Guess I'm gonna quit thinking!  We limped the rest of the way to Brownwood on one axle on a two axle trailer.

Waiting on an 11am conference call today about getting staffed on a project, either internal or external.  I'm so ready for some meaningful work.

Boys are going back to Brownwood next weekend to take the camper and get it all set for the season - that translate to "Jodie has a free weekend!" .... hopefully something will be going on, somewhere I can get away for some time with my favorite people.

Have a great day everyone.  It seems to help the rest of the week when Monday goes just right!
