Home from the Hospital :)
Nah...that's just the anesthesia! Just hang on tight...the ride is just beginning!
Congrats and do NOT forget to WALK WALK WALK, SIP SIP SIP and use your heating pad wherever the pain pops up(it can be in your back or shoulder or elbow...the gas moves weird) and it will help with the gas pains.
Even if your surgery wasn't visibly invasive(open), DO NOT FORGET that the doc got in there and shuffled stuff around and you MUST heal!
Now, hang on and watch your clothes fall off you!
Welcome to the losers bench!

WooHoo! You are in for the ride of your life! The drugs help with the swings, Kris is right about that! Make sure you follow your surgeons instructions, sip sip sip walk walk walk!!! The more you walk the less it hurts, trust me! Those muscles need gentle persuasion to do their jobs. Let your loved ones take care of you. You have just put your body through quite an ordeal! Enjoy the naps in between walking and sipping. I am so happy for you! Oh! and measure everything, your neck, arms, forearms, chest, waist, hips, thighs, calves, ankles, whatever you can think of! You will be losing inches, and it is an amazing thing to keep up with, especially during the inevitable stalls.
Grace & Peace,
Jenn

Congratulations!
After surgery your hormones are completely out of whack. So yes, the emotional roller coaster is alright. It gets better, but don't worry it is normal and it will pass.
What the other ladies said is right on target. Follow instructions, walk, sip, rest and report back her often to tell us how it's gonig or ask questions.
