OT: My Navy son

Good morning everyone,

Well, why am I so chipper when I sent my baby away yesterday?  Well, I didn't actually send him away.  When they did his medical yesterday, his weight was ok, but his temp was too high.  It was 100 and they won't let them go if it's over 99.5.  He was feeling fine, no other symptoms, but that's policy.  I spent yesterday taking him to a doc to verify that he didn't have flu (negative) or anything else contagious (negative).  The doc put him on antibiotic z-pack just to be safe and we go back on Sunday for final clearance and he will get to go to bootcamp Monday instead.   So just a few days delay and I get some extra time.  I have him here with me today, he spent the night, I set him up with email and facebook.  LOL.  Just some Mom and Matt time with Josh.  I figure it's all in God's plan.  And I have the best husband on the planet.  When I mentioned Josh staying with us, there was no question.  He was right on board with it and even insisted on it.  Matt is the bestest.

Annette.....enjoy the time that you have with your son  before he starts Navy Boot camp.     My oldest son did Navy boot camp 10 yrs ago and just moved back to Texas....well can we say this AM !!!  WOOO HOOOO !!!!  He got in with his 2 cats after driving 20 hours straight from Ca. to Texas.   I will keep your son in my prayers that everything will be good for him so he can go on and pursue his dream on monday !!!  Love ya !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

We have to enjoy every minute we can with our Sailor boys. My oldest is stationed in Okinawa. He was there for a while and then sent over to Iraq for 8 months and now back in Okinawa. Keep prayers going for him please. He was home in May and married and was so happy. Now he is having to deal with a long distant divorce after only 4 months. She decided she wanted someone else. As a mother this is the hardest part. Not being able to comfort or console.
I wish your son the best and wil keep him in my prayers for his safety. Please also, thank him for me for his service to our country.

Enjoy your time with Josh my friend. Nino is stationed in Hawaii so the distance to travel is hard.  He's been in the Navy for 7 years going on 8 in December.

Hugs to you all!

Blessings,

Nina

I hope he feels better soon but enjoy the extra time you have with him now.  My BF was in the Navy for 20 years and I missed out on it all but I love hearing the stories and places he has been.  Tell him I said thanks in advance for serving our country.
