The NIGH****CHMAN - Thursday 10/1

Good afternoon all.  It is a pretty nice day in the metroplex, hope you are enjoying much of the same.

Last night was a drag at work.  Instead of moving my old computer (like they were supposed to), I got a brand new computer.  Which is fine, except.  It does not have all of the programs I need to do my job.  No email and no access to databases and no Real Time phone tracking (so I can see who is logged in to take calls).  So last night, my first night at my new seat, I had to move to someone else's seat.  Hopefully IT will get it fixed today.

Counting down days until my State Fair visit.  Next Wednesday.  And no Midway for me.  We go for the exhibits.  Last year I did buy the best frying pan ever.  Paid $70 for it, but believe it or not, it was worth it.  Gonna get another one this year, only a little bigger.  Also bought a belt last year.  This year Mary and I are going to try to get custom made belts.  I want one that says Grandpa on the back and lists my grandkids' names on the sides.  Of course, Mary's will say Grandma.

Not much else going on in my world.  Have a good evening

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS   SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hi George;

Sorry I missed last night. I seem to have been extra forgetful lately and didn't remember I hadn't posted until just now.

Yesterday, I did my job stuff - applied for 5 and contacted Rick to see if he could refer me for an open position @ Pepsi since he works at FritoLay; met my mom and step-dad for lunch and then went to my friend Jean's house and helped her clean out and purge her closets. Unfortunately, Jean used to be my size, so she sent me home with a trunkful of goodies including a $600 Carmen Marc Valvo gown that still has the tags on it. I seriously look like I could go to the Academy Awards in this dress. It's stunning! I have no idea where I'll ever get to wear it, but it will be quite the event when I do.

Today, I did my job stuff - applied for 3 and had a follow up call with the woman I interviewed with on Tuesday. Things are looking good with that position which oddly enough sent me into a bit of a panic attack. I'm nervous about starting something new and failing again. Logically, I know it's not likely, but my panic attacks are never about logic. I spent 3.5 hours watching the neighbor's 3-year old and 1-year old while they picked up their 13-year old from the airport. Right now, I'm just hanging out before we go over to get dinner prepared for the 8 of us.

We have an open house on Sunday so I need to start getting the house ready for that. Hopefully the rain here will stop long enough that we can get the grass cut. I'd like to get the garage cleaned out and the laundry done, too. Hopefully tomorrow will be a productive day.

Have a good night. I hope IT has rectified your computer set up. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

That's where your panic attack came from.

Don't worry, you can handle it.

Actually the panic attack was between the call with HR and my babysitting duties. Before I even knew I'd spend part of the afternoon babysitting.

Saying prayers for Penny. I'm so sorry for your family's loss.

After dinner tonight, our neighbors ended up taking the 3-year old to the ER. Her fever kept spiking and after trying to keep it down with OTCs all day, her telling me everything I gave her to drink hurt her throat, and her pediatrician was not able to get her in until Saturday. She's got strep. They gave her a shot of antibiotics so hopefully she'll be feeling better in the morning. So, Michael and I stayed with the 13-year old and 1-year old for 3 hours tonight.

After 6.5 hours of kids today, I'm exhausted. I don't know how people with kids do it.

Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Pray for my daughter, Penny.  She had a miscarraige today.  We did not know she was pregnant, she was going to tell us this weekend.  The pregnancy was an accident, but not totally unexpected.  That is her second miscarraige, plus she has three kids.  She has decided there will be no more.  God bless her and be with her.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

She will definitely be kept in my thoughts.  I've had a few so know how emotionally draining they can be....regardless whether or not they were planned.

Night George....my oldest son has made it to Childress so far.  HE is moving from Bakersfield, Ca to here !!!!  YEAH !!!!!    I am thinking that he will be home about 2 or 3 AM.   He has been driving since 5 AM with his 2 cats.    I know that they will ALL be exhausted when they get here.    I will be so glad.  Hate the thought that he has decided to drive 1500 miles in one day.   I will keep Penney and your family in my prayers and I hope Mary is feeling much better.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.
