Appt with Dr Provost
Well, I talked to two different people at the OH conference this weekend. First, I talked to dr Provost's office. They said that he does do reversal surgeries. They said that he has done 12. For those of you that don't know. RYGB reversals are VERY rare. A lot of physicians do not do them at all. Most of those that have done them have only done one or two. I really liked hearing that he had done twelve. That made me feel a lot better. I got his information and entered the drawing for a free consult. I went to his web page and clicked contact. I e-mailed his office with my situation and said that I would like to set up a consult. I planned on calling him first thing Monday morning.
While I was in the breakout group with Dr Drik Rodriguez, someone asked him about reversals for me. He said that he would like to speak with me about it after the group. I sat down with him and told him my history. He told me that he would be willing to do my reversal. He gave me his card and told me to talk to his office on Monday.
I thought about it and decided to talk with Dr Provost first. He seems to have the most experience with patients that have had complications. I called first thing yesterday morning before going into work and got an appointment for 10/6. When I got to work, I had a voicemail from his office. They called me before I scheduled my appointment and left a message for me. He had seen my e-mail and wanted to see me this week. I called back and changed my appointment from 10/6 to 10/1. I am excited.
I will let you guys know what he says. I am not only tired of not being able to eat and having to use a feeding tube. I HURT. This feeding tube has caused a lot of pain. We will see what he has to say.
