Monday WLS Express
Good morning ! I'm so glad all of you had such a great time at the OH conference. I ended up not being able to come Friday evening because my fiance had to work late. )-: But, that's okay...I'll be able to start coming to the support group meetings soon enough. (-:
I have to leave to go back home to TN this evening...am sad about that. )-: This whole getting married / moving thing is actually driving me crazy. I got here (TX) Friday morning and spent the first two days I was here being all sad and melancholy about moving from TN to TX. Then, yesterday and again this morning, how do I feel? Yep...all sad about having to leave TX to go home to TN. Sigh. I wish my feeling would just make up their mind.
At the moment, the fiance is still asleep. I just finished my prayer and Bible study time and will probably read for a bit until he wakes up. He has the day off, and likes to sleep a little later than me. Ever since my surgery, I've become a huge early bird. Usually up at 5 or 5:30, no later than 6 am. Used to be able to sleep until noon. I like it this way better, tho, when it comes right down to it. (-:
We've been wedding dress shopping, and this is the dress I think I've decided upon. I have an appointment to go try it on one more time at 10 am, and if I still love it, I'm going to order it.
Hope all of you have a good week !! Talk to you soon - Lori (-:
the dfw area has some of the BEST support groups I know of - and they are very welcoming and loving - just show up and introduce yourself

who misses her Tx peeps
I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail
Glad everyone made it home safely. I hope all that missed due to illness are better now. A friend of mine, her 16 year old son was running a 105.8 temperature the other day so they had to take him to the ER- just regular flu, but a bad case of it. Everyone, use your hand sanitizer and all that stuff. I've considered switching to paper towels for everyone to wash and toss while this stuff is going around. I woke with a scratchy throat this morning and Chris and Bryan have been congested for a few days.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!
Good morning everyone,
Matt and I had a great time at the conference. I'm really glad I brought him along since he really has had no exposure to the bariatric world before. He has a better grasp of my needs (thanks Mary Jo) all the way around. We will be TiVoing some Big Medicine shows now so he can see more of that too. He was very impressed with Dr. L for plastics and wants me to go down there when the time comes. woohoo.
I will be heading over to Allen today to spend time with my son and feed him some heavy food. He leaves Wednesday afternoon to go to MEPS and then Thursday morning they do his weigh in and all the final stuff and then fly him to Great Lakes, IL for bootcamp. I had several breakdowns over the weekend but am holding up for the most part. After bootcamp, he will be in Conneticut for about 16 months for A school.
Saying prayers for all of you. Have a great day everyone.
I'm late this a.m. I kept Caroline (GD # 2) last night and she didn't sleep well, therefore I didn't sleep well either! Afraid she may be getting sick so kept her home with me today from MDO. Poor Tony, (my SIL), I went there after putting my things away and the house was a disaster!! Kids were happy, but house was a wreck, with DD coming in from Galveston in about 2 hrs. I got into high gear and got things picked up and put up and did the floors right quick so she wouldn't stroke out when she walked in the door :) She had a great time in Gal. but came home not feeling real well and the altitude of the plane finished her off so now she has a sinus infection.
Little S_it stayed at the kids while I was gone to the conference. She chewed up a pair of shoes and killed another water noodle into a million pieces again!! This morning she has already attacked another "sippy" part of a sippy cup!
This weekend was so good. Not only to get to know some friends so much better but for all the info we gathered. I'm truly blessed to have y'all as my second family.
Well, got to run. Michelle, praying your shot helps you a lot, and Alissa, that your surgery is going to give you some lasting relief. Y'all take care. Everyone else have a great day.
Blessings,
Carol

Good morning
I'm at work and so far having an ok day. I don't know whats in the air today, its got my eyes/noes running and I'm starting to get a headache. This morning I found my binder that had my pre-surgery measurements can I say WOW and OMG. I need to post them on my profile and get a measuring tape this week and take new ones. I haven't taken any measurements at all since my surgery, boy what a goobber head I've been lol.
Everyone have a great day

Am I the only one who feels the big let down after all the great fun over the weekend? I just fell into a funk the moment I left the conference. We need to have other weekends and SOON! It doesn't have to be a conference, does it, just to get together and have fun, fun, fun.
All is the norm around here ==== laundry about finished, waiting on work assignments, etc.
I hung out at the hotel until 1'ish because I met some former co-workers for lunch in the mall and I spotted Vivian sportin' a Macy's shopping bag - she had heard wind of the great sales they had going on. Lovely Monica was going to do a little shopping before catching her flight back south. Hope all made it home safe and sound.
I guess the next big thing is Tom and Que Halloween 2009 party - and it's only 26 days away! Suppose I should start to think about a costume and make sure King is onboard with being my "date" for the night! LOL
Have a great week everyone, I'm going to make the best out of mine that I can salvage from here.
