Back to the grind...I did really well considering I was off on a trip.  It seems like I ate meat and cheese 1/2 the weekend, but enjoyed it.  I actually didn't eat off course a whole lot until I got home, when I devoured my white choc. macadamia cookie I bought, then had the following at my nephew's bd dinner: cabbage, mashed potatoes, fried squash, chicken n dumplings and a piece of nice moist coconut cake!

Today's plan:
lots of liquids
protein coffee being downed & I need it this morning...
Atkins shake
noodleless lasagna for lunch
turkey pepperoni pizza made on flatout low carb wrap for dinner
hi pro snack

What's your plan?

Maybe Sister Becky will present a short lesson on the Mediterranean Diet since I took a nap during the presentation...sounds pretty cool!

Meat and Cheese girl here, lol.  I haven't planned for today so it'll be a challenge however I did pack, guess what?  Summer Sausage and Cheese , and I have a Power Crunch Bar, a bottle of the Isopure RTD (not sure how I'll like that, but I'll down it anyway) and some of those Yummy protein crackers I got in my goodie bag.

I was looking through the goodie bag last night, some good stuff in there.  Also have Dr. Stapleton and Dr. Garth's books that I want to start reading.

I agree Karla, Becky or one of the other ladies that went to the Mediterranean Diet talk need to give us the 10-4.  I got a copy of his procedure at the table but don't know where I put it.  I went to see Austin's talk to HOPEFULLY get inspired somehow to move a bit.

Hey ((((Karla)))), Sisters & Dude

I am up and at work already.  I am off to a fresh start (just not sure what I am going to do yet) to rid my body of all the fried PB&J (it was sooooo good) fried butter and fried pizza  at the Texas State Fair.  It was a pleasure to meet you and the rest of the TMB family as well as the lurkers.  Have a good one.

I had a somewhat of a little scare. I went to the doctor for a re ocurring pain in my upper right chest. Xrays done, everything checked out fine. Doc said it was my body telling me to get my ass in gear and loose weight. Hard to believe I have put on 60 lbs from my lowest. Thats a scary thought. Its time to take control and get back in the saddle.

B- Ate egg stuff Michelle made
S- Protein Bar
L- grilled chick salad
S- Protein drink
D- Not sure

I went to the Mediterranean Diet talk and it was interesting....

Basically:
We eat too fast and need to slow down
Don't eat it if it's not food - for example, if you can't pronounce it, then you shouldn't consume it
Eat fresh, not processed
Learn to love your food again (again, taking your time eating)

My 2 cents worth - it wasn't anything we don't already know, but he hopes we will learn to practice more :)

I remember too..

if it wasn't grown or have a Mother, don't eat it.

use honey, molasses or agave? stuff instead of Splenda, etc, since Splenda is just chlorinated sugar!  yummy!

when you eat something, make it the best, like chocolate, steak, stuff like that. then savor it, one 'knuckle' bite at a time.

Well I can proudly say that all the weight I lost on BTB, is now officially back on PLUS .6!!! woo hoo.

Oh wait, that's not good.

I seriously ate less than most weekends away and gained it all.  Do hope some comes off as water and carb shock.

Today, I was too tired to think about food food so I packed

2 sf/lc yogurt
Kelloggs high protein cereal with mootopia (X2)
1/2 ff cottage cheese.

not sure what I will do for dinner. didn't buy any lunch meat because it's too expensive and way too salty.  So I don't have anything ready.

Lisa is right about the Mediterrain diet.  IT was really interesting and we are supposed to have a link soon to the website to sign up if we'd like to. Course I heard it will be lik $150 which will knock me out of using it, but maybe I will just use the principals that Lisa already told you.

I'm here really late on posting....I'm like Becky, I gained 3 lbs over the weekend.  Maybe, just maybe, eating the WHOLE bag of Dove chocolates over the course of 3 days wasn't such a good move.  So today I was back at it.

Breakfast: Western bagel with peanut butter
Lunch: london broil, 1/2 cup very lightly dressed coleslaw
Snack: pretzel crisps
Dinner: egg salad sandwich on whole wheat bread
Snack: protein drink
