I GOT APPROVED !!!

I'm so excited! Got a call from Aetna PPO on Friday that I'm approved for my revision to RNY ! They submitted the paperwork thinking it would be denied since it hadn't been 24mo. since I was banded with no wt. loss. Bingo, I was approved in 3 weeks. I have my endoscopy the Dr. requires on Oct. 8 with my labs. Preop late Oct. and Surgery first of Nov. So I'll be a new woman when I see everyone next year. Since I saw everyone I had gone to the plastic surgeon to see if she could debulk my knees so I could have knee replacement since it didn't look good for the bypass. She diagnoised me with Lymphedema and said I needed to be treated before it got too far. I've been in treatment for 3 weeks and have lost 8#. So this has been some of the reason for no wt. loss and my fibromyalgia pain. Since treatment has started I take much less pain medication. I go 4 days a week for 3 hr.s of massage,compression and wrapping of my legs. I get very tired but hopefully in another 2 -3 weeks I can get compression stockings before my bypass. Hope everyone had a good time at the Conference and can't wait to show off the New Me next year. I'll keep you updated. Miss jean
