I was 265lbs and the day of surgery I was 257lbs. As of this morning I was 232lbs. I am looking to meet others, swap recipes, and more.

Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband
I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail

Welcome Carrie.
I was at the Obesity Help Conference this morning and it was great to meet in person
so many that have helped me. This is a wonderful board.
Sounds like you are doing great.
Dr. Garth Davis spoke this morning and he was great speaker . I got his book and
his autograph.
Keep up the good work.

The other person here from Friendswood - that would be ME !!
Welcome to the TMB. You just missed a great conference in Dallas - they come up about once a year - sometimes more - so look for posts in the coming months for the next one - DEFINITELY worth your time.
I am also a patient of Dr. Garth's and I brought with me another one of his patents - Deedles - who was only 10 days out from surgery !!! She brought her pureed food to eat and hung in there the whole day on Sat and even into the evening - tough lady!
I started at 248 and was 234 the day of surgery (2-week liquid diet LOL) and just passed the century mark last week. My goal is 145 and I would like to keep a 5-lb bounce between 145-150.
I go to the Pasadena Support Group meeting which is run by Sean Nichols and we meet the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm at Panera Bread at BW8 & Fairmont Pkwy. We also meet at the Starbucks across from Baybrook Mall (in front of Petsmart) on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00 am. It is a great way to get support and meet some of the crazy locals. It is open to all surgeries.
Welcome!
Sarah

Congrats Sarah!!!! Did you hear I have been approved for my RNY for first part of Nov. I will have had my Endoscopy by the time I see you all. May not make the Baybrook meeting depends on what day I can trade to have Oct. 8 off for the endoscopy. I will definitely see everyone at the Panara meeting in Pasadena though.
