State Fair - Ate Fried Butter!

Okay - I admit it - I momentarily fell off the wagon!!!!   I went to the Fair on Friday and ate some bad things...........Had Fried Butter - not quite a discussing as it sounds - it's just a sweet biscuit dough wrapped around a dab of butter - so kinda like a small pre-buttered biscuits.  Not that good, but I can say that I tried it.  I ate bites and nibbles of other not so healthy things too.  Did I pay for it on the scale? - YOU BETCHA!!!!  But I'm back on track.... Just Protein shakes, grilled chicken and lots of water for me for the next several day!!!!!!

***Hints for those who may go to the Fair - Buy food and drinks in the Food pavilion- as you face BIG TEX it's on your right.   MUCH CHEAPER!!!!  Bottles of water out in the Fairgrounds 6 tickets - in the food pavilion 3.  Another comparison - 12 oz beer - 10 to 12 tickets - in the Food Court pavilion  just 6 tickets for the same size.

Really, I never noticed that prices were different at different locations.  You picked a beautiful weekend to go to the fair...I can't wait to go.  I am not so much worried about the fried butter as I am those darn corney dogs.  But gone are the days where I can eat a couple of them...I'll be doing good if I get a whole one in, LOL!

last year the fear of the fair brought about a group of us making sf funnel cakes just b/c we could

bites and nibbles are probably a whole differnt story than in years past - and you are playing catch up for a few days - not that huge of a deal as long as it isn't every weekend LOL

We ate at Cotton Patch and in honor of the state fair they are selling funnel cakes for $5. I was soooo tempted but I was good and didn't order one! Instead I had a pork chop and some corn.
