Friday WLS Train, Hurray We Have

Good morning everyone!  Well, yesterday I spent the whole day in the Stand By Room!  And we had lots of work to do.  But, you know how it goes.  Supervisors that don't care if they are delaying the mail.  My problem with the room is that we can't read or have any writing materials.  They say they are keeping us like we were on the floor and in a work status.  Problem is, we aren't in a work status.  We're in a stand by status!  Did anyone see my link to the Federal Times where there was a FRONT PAGE article about this?  It was called "Paid to do Nothing" and it 's pretty interesting.  Here is the link in case you're interested!  http://www.federaltimes.com/index.php?S=4265826

Anyway, it's Friday!  Don't know if I'll make the OH conference this weekend.  Parents are in need coming back from Iowa, but I'll probably come over some time Saturday evening for drinks and some peep time!  How much is one day at the conference?  Can someone message me about Saturday night and if there is someplace particular ya'll are meeting?

Good Morning Dana and the rest of my TMB Family,

Can I just say I love my husband?  I am so excited to be heading to Dallas today, and to be able to see all of you!  Mark knew how badly I wanted to go and he has just been telling me we dont have the money..then yesterday when he left for work I gave this big sigh and when he asked me what was wrong I told him I was reading about all of you heading to Dallas and how much fun it was going to be.  Then at lunch he told me you can go to that "thing" in Dallas this weekend if you want.  Yiipppiiieee I am heading that way with Rebecca sometime between 12 and 1 wich should get us to the hotel in plent of time for clothing exchange.  Of course a SBax stop in Decater will be a necessisty.  Cant wait to see how the new van handels on a road trip.  I also cant wait to see all of you guys!  I think I am packed but then when Rebecca was here last night going through my closet I saw lots of stuff I forgot I had so I might have to rethink a few things.  Ok I really think I need to walk this morning, but will see how it goes.  Yesterday by the time I got done with my walk, my hips were killing me.  Sucks getting old.  Ok prayers this morning for all traveling for those that are in need and for those in need but dont know it. Huge Special Prayers for Alissa as she is having her foot surgery this morning.  Hope Bryan will keep us updated.   Ok I am actually to excited to think this morning so guess I need to concentrate on my coffee.  See you all tonight.  Have a blessed day.  Love you

I am so excited for Tom.  This weekend is another first for him Post-Op.

He is going camping with our Boy Scout Troop!!!  When you marry an eagle scout and have 2 boys, Boy Scouts is a major part of your life.  I can hardly stand the excitement.  Chris (our oldest) is going with him to make sure he stays safe and of course, he loves it also.  Chris took him out for a couple of day trips last year but this will be the first he has stayed all weekend with the boys.  You have no idea how wonderful this is for us.  Tom is awesome with the younger scouts and loves teaching them things that Scouts just have to know!!

I am of course a little anxious about it but I am trying really hard to think of him as whole again and this is a big step.  I have even let him drive sometimes.  That is like teaching your kids to drive all over again.  I am way too old for that!!

Wishing safe travel for all those headed this way today.  Angels around us all...

I think that's excellent that Tom is going, he'll have a great time.  So what's the chance of me seeing you for a little while this weekend?

Do you just cry every time you see my Pic???  This one was HAPPY.  I didn't even tear up writing it!!

GOOD MORNING! Its 5:45- I didn't go to sleep until after midnight. Then I woke every hour or so. I have a headache this morning- not sure if its sinus or stress from worrying. I think a little of both. I'm so thirsty-not hungry yet. I'm very anxious. I've prayed and I know it will be okay, just still worried a bit-more about the recovery than anything. Esp next week when I'm home alone all day all week-learning to get around with the knee scooter and getting things from the kitchen to the living room, etc. I need a way to carry my cell around my neck in case I fall or something-like one of those medic alerts-Help I've fallen and I can't get up! lol.
