Nervous about OH Event

While Im excited to be attending the event, I find myself lost and really nervous. Alot of people seem to already know each other and I have such anxiety about being lost in the crowd, Im usually on the lapband board and I know of only 2 or 3 people from there that are attending. I have no one that will be attending with me so I will be by myself and this scares me, Ive thought about not attending. Right now I just dont know what I want to do.

Yes, I will be there. Solo though, as my wife is quarantined. But I look forward to meeting a fellow GPer. Please make sure you come. This is my first OH Conference, but seriously, you will not be alone once you get there. We all share one main bond. And that has brought us together. Look for me, you can't miss me. Tall guy *****fuses to shave or get a haircut.

My plan is to leave around noon, however, I never ever leave when I plan to. LOL

I have not decided if I am going up 45 or taking the back way through Waco yet (to see a friend).

You are SOOOO not alone in those feelings. I was exactly the same before my first event, but Yvonne encouraged and twisted my arm until I ended up going and I was so glad that I did. Please come! I'd love to meet you and introduce you around. Will you be there Friday night? Staying at the hotel or commuting?

And by the way, my husband and I are from GP. And so is another couple on the board...George and Mary. George postes the nigh****chman. So who knows, we may meet up and decide we're long lost neighbors or schoolmates.

Tell me when and where you're coming and I'll meet you at the door. If you text, I'll send you my cell number so you can track me down.

I used to be on the LB board a lot. Not so much anymore. Mostly here.
If you are a stranger to many now after this weekend I promise you will only be a stranger to a few if any. That's how this works. Find a couple of the familar faces and introduce yourself...does your avitar look like you? I'm horrible with faces so find me(can't miss my husband he's 6'5) and introduce yourself and then Dana...how do you say it??? Laissez les bons temps rouler!
