The NIGH****CHMAN - Thursday 9/24

Not so good afternoon.  A nice day outside just turned crappy.  Mary has not been feeling well and went to the doctor today.  She will not be going to the OH Conference.  She is quarantined with Swine Flu.  We have no idea where she got it.  The doc has cleared me to go, saying I do not have it at this time.  He gave her medication for both of us.  Supposedly if I take it, I will not get the disease.

Mary is devistated.  She can have no visitors for 7 days.  Please pray for her.  Text her, if you like.  Help lift her spirits a little.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Karen (Misty750342002) - Pray for her spouse as he as recovers from his eye surgery in an attempt to save his eyesight.

Other prayer requests:

Dana requested we add Susan T. and her son to the prayer list.  Justin had a visit to the oncologist today and actions are being pursued.

Dana's friend Rachel is 25 years old and pregnant.  She has a 2 1/2 year old daughter and found out about a month ago she has inflammatory breast cancer.  They are taking the baby in October (2 months early) and will do a double masectomy.

Debra also asks for prayers for a friend of mine, Yvonne's husband Kevin.  He is in the hospital.  That is all we know for now.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.

Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Sandi asks for prayers for her late coworker's (Renee) family, as died in a car accident this morning (9/15).

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family and for her and her spouse's health issues.

Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story.  Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl

Hope Mary feels better soon.  From what I've heard from others, it is a rather mild flu compared to some.

To keep the panic to a minumum, there's no way she could of been diagnosed with the SWINE FLU in one day.  That test takes 2-3 WEEKS to get the results back.  The regular FLU test is immediate.  I keep hearing about members of the TMB with the SWINE FLU and my infectious disease people say that it is still rare around here.  Now, I will grant you the fact that she "could" have the swine flu BUT it would takes weeks before we would know for sure.  Because of that fact, people are being given the proper meds just in case.  Regardless of what kind of flu she has, I know she feels like crap and pray she feels better soon.

Evening George,

So sorry Mary has been quarantined, and sad she is not feeling well.  She needs to stop kissing those darn pigs!! j/k  Please let her know I am sending healing thoughts and prayers her way.   Sincerely hope she is back to feeling wonderful very soon.

Stressfull, crazy week here.  There have been shoes dropping all week at work.....   translation to be the crap has been hitting the fan, and action is being taken.  Yesterday was aweful for me, now I know I have the authority to write someone up for their verbal abuse and stupidity.

Just need to make it through one more day..  I am really looking forward to the conference (this will be my first conference) and hugging some necks I know and meeting some new peeps!!

Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Special prayers for the Dunford family as they continue to deal with their grief.  Special prayers for Alyssia's surgery tomorrow, may this end your foot pain.  Special prayers for all that are hurting tonight, for whatever reason.

Blessings to all,
Avis

Hi George;

Sorry that Mary won't be able to attend the conference. Hopefully the meds will take care of her symptoms quickly and she'll be 100% again soon.

I had a very chilled out day. This morning, I did a few job apps. My gay boyfriend, Brian, arrived here at noon and took me out to lunch. When we got back to the house, we made a pumpkin praline pie and while it was cooking, we watched the last three episodes of Pushing Daisies that I'd been saving on my DVR until we could get together and watch them (he turned me on to the show). At the end of the second episode we watched, the pie came out of the oven and we ate it while watching the last episode ever.

After he left, I went over to the neighbors, but I'd missed dinner, plus I'd just had pie a little bit earlier. Alicia and I went to the grocery store together. I picked up somethings that Michael wanted since he'll be back tomorrow afternoon. He asked me to make a carrot cake so I bought the carrots and cream cheese while I was at the store. I think those were the only ingredients I don't have in the pantry.

Tomorrow, I have to try doing the oil change again as that didn't work out as planned on Wednesday, I've got lunch plans with my friend Jean (the one that was laid off from my old company on Monday) and I have to be at the airport at 4:20 to pick Michael up. I'm not sure where in there I'm going to get a cake baked and frosted, but I'll figure something out...

Have a good night. Prayers for safe travel for everyone going to Dallas for the conference, all the prayer requests and all of the unspoken requests.
Blessings, Jennifer

Hey George....
Sorry Mary is feeling yucko.  Sending her cyber get well wishes!!!

Well, something horrible happened to my big computer, my work computer.  I think the hard drive went.  I got a message on the screen that I copied word for word, then called my computer guy to tell him about it.  He said, "oh, man, from what it sounds like, your hard drive may have blown but of course until I see it..."  Sooo, hoping he has room for me to drop it by his store tomorrow and maybe see if he can recover stuff.  Never did figure out an external hard drive to prevent stuff like that but I can tell you this.....I WILL be figuring it out after this incident.  Thank goodness for my laptop!!!

Paul called me tonight on his way to Los Angeles but said he couldn't stay on long as their state law is NO use of cell phones while driving.  He had me on speaker so really wasn't as bad but still, no need for an unwanted ticket.  He asked me if I have attempted to sleep upstairs yet with the puppy in the kennel.  I said, "no, not yet".  His dumb response...."uhm, do you plan on sleeping downstairs for the rest of your life".  I said, "it's only DAY 4 for Pete's sake!!!"  We'll see if Schnitzel can sleep again all night long!

Hope everyone has safe travels in their comings and goings to the conference!  Be careful everyone!!!
