OMG! Christmas!

Are you kidding me.  I went to Cracker Barrell in June and they had Halloween out.  I think the first Christmas tree I was was at Cracker Barrell in July.  

I absolutely love Christmas.   I love Christmas music.... I love the weather at Christmas.... I love what it stands for religiously.... I love buying presents ( btw.... I am done Christmas shopping except for my boss)... I love wrapping presents..... I love decorating the house and yard.... I love the cozy feeling of starting a fire in the fireplace, putting christmas music on, wrapping myself up on the couch in a blanket with a nice cup of cocoa and an interesting book.... I love the feeling it gives me every year.    I love EVERYTHING about Christmas.

I wish I had a picture of my office from last year.  I have a small office, but I put a 4 foot christmas tree up.... hung snowflakes from the ceiling....had all kinds of Christmas decorations and lights up.   I am the festive one at the office.   I will probably come in this weekend and decorate for fall if I am feeling up to it.  :) 

I love the spiritual meaning of Christmas but the commercialism has just about ruined it all for me. By the time Thanksgiving is over, I am so sick of 'Grandma got run over by a reindeer', the Chipmonks squeaking their tune, Playboy bunny types in their Santa costumes selling eveything from hearing aids, male body part enlargement aids to cars and kitty litter!!! I no longer decorate our house because by the time Christmas gets here, my house is the only place I can be to gt away from it all!

I do enjoy the old Christmas movies like White Christmas and Miracle on 34th street. I love the carols, sight and smells of Christmas. I wish we had real winters here to really gine into the mood. It's hard to think of Christmas when you're mowing the yard Christmas Eve!!! I just wish there was more reason for the season in all things.

And yeah...our Cracker Barrel has had their tree and ornaments up since July but at least it's been descreetly in a corner.
