Good afternoon all.  Life is good.  The Cowboys lost.  The Jets won.  At least all is right in the football world.  The Rangers, not so much.

I have not even looked outside, so I have no idea about the weather.  Just woke up.  Gotta go shower and dress, be back later.

Just so you know folks, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Anonymous prayers for the friend of a TMBer, who is very troubled at this time.  I have been in touch with the TMBer and prayers are still needed.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:

Anne (Lalocaweta) and her spouse
Debra
Jennifer - (Cruise Director Julie) -

still interviewing
Jeri
Liz
Stephanie and her friend Mack
Vicki V.
Vivian's son Shawn and his girlfriend Natalie

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming

Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:

Recovering from Surgery:

Dana's sister Renee is recovering from two surgeries.  Her skin graft on her leg is healing slowly and now she is seeing a pain management doc for her problems associated with her jaw (updated 9/21).

Janet (1divaatheart) spouse recovering from kidney surgery.

Karen (Misty750342002) - Pray for her spouse as he as recovers from his eye surgery in an attempt to save his eyesight.

Other prayer requests:

Dana requested we add Susan T. and her son to the prayer list.  Justin had a visit to the oncologist today and actions are being pursued.

Dana's friend Rachel is 25 years old and pregnant.  She has a 2 1/2 year old daughter and found out about a month ago she has inflammatory breast cancer.  They are taking the baby in October (2 months early) and will do a double masectomy.

Debra - asks for prayer for Ramon who is in the hospital from his near drowning experience.

Debra also asks for prayers for a friend of mine, Yvonne's husband Kevin.  He is in the hospital.  That is all we know for now.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.

Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Sandi asks for prayers for her late coworker's (Renee) family, as died in a car accident this morning (9/15).

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family and for her and her spouse's health issues.

Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story.  Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl

I have never hidden my dislike for the Cowboys.  I have always said my two favorite teams are the Jets, and whoever is playing the Cowboys.  It's part Jerry Jones, part Wade (yawn) Phillips.  I actually cheered for the Cowboys while JJ was there.

Look at it this way.  I like you, even though you are a Cowboy fan.

Oooh, Gina...YOU TOO?!?  When I was growing up, my favorite teams were my Bears and WHOEVER beat Dallas!  hehehe...  Now, I'm married to a DIE HARD Philadelphia Eagle fan (OMG you should see the crap he digs out and sets up in the yard EACH WEEK, not to mention the BS he WEARS , strutting around the neighborhood, or better yet, in his car screaming "E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES" to our neighbors who have all gotten to expect it from him and actually miss it if he doesn't as it's all in good fun) who grew up with pretty much the same motto - their Eagles were their favorite team, and their second favorite team was whoever beat the Cowgirls, oh, I mean Cowboys....

...me still wuvs ya' girl!!!

What about those Saints!  Go New Orleans!

George, glad I decided I needed a break from work, reading this and your note about taking those vitamins reminded me to take my iron, thanks.

Update on Renee......she is still struggling with her jaw surgery and the leg recovery also.  The skin graft on her leg is healing slowly.  They are now sending her to a pain management doctor on the jaw.  It appears they messed up a nerve in her jaw and everytime she eats or drinks she has a severe pain in her jaw.....she said it reminds her of eating a lemon but it's 10xs worse.  The Pain Management doc has prescribed her a med that they give people for seizures that is "suppose' to help with that weird pain.....he said he couldn't believe they let her go this long before sending her to him.  Keep praying this is temporary and the nerve issue repairs itself, I'd hate to think she has to live like this forever.  Her face (lip/jaw area) is also paralized from the nerve damage, she's pretty upset with all this and is second guessing herself it surgery was the right thing to do or to take her chances.  I still think surgery was the right thing even now, the tumor would of probably continuing to grow and eat her facial bones.

I am glad you read this also.  With the recent episodes with dear friends from the TMB, I decided to make the Vitamins thing a permanent part of the beginning of the NW.

Thanks for the update on Renee.  Prayers will continue.

Our pool guy who lives in the area and very good friends of ours...his uncle owns the Saints, so, of course, their yard is decked out in Saints garb, while hubby has ours touted in Eagle Green!!!  My older two girls are always horribly embarrased if he does it when there are actually other teens around!!!

I, of course, enjoyed giving him heck for their whoopin' they got from the ol' Saints this past weekend!

Hi George;

Checking in really quick now, but I'll be back later. I just got home from Dallas. I'm hoping the days of driving back and forth are coming to an end soon. My butt just can't take it.

The house has a showing at 6:30pm and I have a phone interview tomorrow morning. Those are my exciting tidbits of news for the afternoon.

Have a great afternoon and I'll check in with you tonight. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer
