Thanks everyone for lifting me up in prayers last night.

Simple...............ONLY SLIGHTLY DEHYDRATED........but they only gave me 1 bag of fluids and some meds for vertigo......sent me home with an RX for vertigo meds......grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I probably got a little dehydrated because I wasn't feeling too well last week at all..............
Just couldn't put up with the dizzyness anylonger...................Stayed in bed most of the weekend.............

NOW I KNOW - JUST WAIT UNTIL MONDAY MORNING.............PCP could have slapped on a bag or 2 of fluids and sent me home with NO COPAY........

INSTEAD .............due to no patience on my part.......$50 co-pay for ER.   gr........

I'M GOOD NOW......FEELING OKAY AND AT WORK..........

luv you all !!

Phyllis,

  One of my fellow DSers was assking me in an email about dehydraton symptoms earlier this week.   I asked two retired RN friends of mine (also DSers) about this, and they told me to look out for the following as signs of dehydration:

  1- Urine should be clear, or only very slightly pale yellow.  If it is anything darker, that can be a sign of dehydration;

  2- Pinch some loose skin on the back of your hand lightly.  If it stays "squooshed" looking and does not return to normal shape quickly, that can be a sign of dehydration;

  3- Chronic dehydration can cause your BUN level in your routine blood tests to be elevated.   If your creatinine level is normal and yet the BUN is high, that can be a sign of dehydration.

   Hope this helps (everyone) ..

Thanks Paul -   I knew all of that.   I wasn't that dehydrated but it was enough that it was causing me to be dizzy througout the day...........

What worries me is that my BP at check in was 113 / 48.....really low for me..........

after the bag of fluids..............released from hospital at  99/53.......WHATS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE..........

He said on the scale of either 1-21 I was a 17 or  1-17 I was a 21.....can't remember....
Anyway - I wasn't all that dehydrated..........so gave me meds for vertigo.......GRRRRRRRRRR
ticked me off !!

 Dang, that IS really low b.p., Phyllis ..     First thing that comes to my (nonmedical, mind ya) mind is maybe hypothyroidism ..        Have you ever had the blood tests to check for that?

I used to have bad sinus headaches.  I had not had one since my WLS in 2007.  Until yesterday. But I got through it, without any medication.  I don't think I have taken any over the counter medication since my surgery, outside of Prilosec.  No tylenol at all, for anything.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
