Hi again from Singapore!

yes, I know, I've been among the missing for a while, but I've been back and forth from Richmond to Singapore, helped my Mom deal with my dad's knee replacement and subsequent dementia, moved the younger daughter and her little family from Tennessee to our house in Texas, and had 2 malignant skin cancers removed, one from the tip of my nose. It's been a long several months but I'm back in Singapore again, supposedly for the duration of the project, 6-8 months, and trying to get back on my healthy track. All that travel and forced waiting around in airports and hospitals has really gotten me off my program. I haven't been walking or paying attention to my diet and now I'm paying for it. I've regained, again, that same 7 lbs I've been battling for a year now, but I'm also having trouble with constipation, indigestion, gas, etc, no matter what I eat. This is really embarrassing, especially in close groups, and none of the OTC's I've tried help. So what do ya'll think of adding Activia yogurt to my diet? I've not had much yogurt before because  I do get my dairy in other places, plus, the added calories and sugars, just didn't seem worth it, but if it would help with this latest gastric problem, I'll bite the bullet. Also, any other advice ya'll can offer will be more than appreciated.

No real advice.  Just warm wishes.  Thank you for posting.

I don't eat the Activia, I prefer Yoplait.  I use the Light version.  Sorry I can't help you on calories, carbs, etc, because I don'****ch them.  I jus****ch my weight daily (on the scale) and take appropriate action.  It works for me, but I know it does not work for everyone.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Thanks George, I found 3 kinds of Activia here, strawberry, peach, and rhubarb, and the peach is no sugar added. They seem to be helping some, a couple of cartons a day, and there is already an improvement in my gut! Maybe it's all in my mind instead of my middle. I also don't count calories or carbs, weighing daily works for me, has been for most of the past 2 1/2 years, but if I let myself slack off the exercise, I'm up the creek. I get an hour or more of a hard, charging walk with bursts of jogging thrown in every morning when I'm here, not so much at home unless it's not too hot. Then, when here, we walk a lot to shop and run errands. Even when we take the car we park somewhere and then walk to our ultimate destination. Parking is something they don't waist a lot of ground on, it's an island, so if it can't be built up, it pretty well can't be built, and land is so expensive that it doesn't make sense to waste any of it.
