What's for Dinner ?? ?
Okay - I'm testing out the $25.00 gas outside grill that I got a few weeks ago...
cooked out sirloin steaks.............we'll see I marinaded them in a Lawry's marinade..italian & garlic....something like that for 3 hours....give or take....
then:
Brocolli, Cheese & Rice Casserole:
I cooked the rice in a ricecooker using:
1 Can of Cream of Mushroom & Chicken combined.....it comes that way..
1 Can of water...
3/4 cup of rice........give or take.....
Then I cooked a bag of chopped brocolli cooked w/ 1/2 cup of water
Mixed with Rice & soups combination in a pan......then cubed up several slices of Velveeta cheese... Threw in oven to get hot and melt cheese and flavors together...........
How it turns out - is beyond me............never made all of this before....
What do you all think? What did you have tonight?
- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.

I had grilled chicken and roasted new potatoes. The cheapest and easiest marinade in the world is Zesty Italian Dressing. I use the fat free Walmart version. I put my chicken in it for about 30 minutes and it comes out moist and tender on the grill.
The rice/cheese/soup combo sounds like something my hubby would like but I bet it has too many carbs and calories for me. Enjoy, glad to see you're trying new dishes.

I'm doing OK so far. After my LNS shake tonight I'll have 82gr. of protein, 563 cal., 44 carbs (mostly from Cream of Wheat and 1% milk) but only about 50oz of fluids all day. I'm working on that.
