hair loss
< what Georgie said >
If it is due to a deficieny that far out, not sure that any certain vitamin or mineral insufficiency could be causing it, but to try to allevaite the situation you might try taking the usual post-op preventive stuff and see if that helps: a full-spectrum amino acid supp, biotin, chromium, zinc piccolinate, etc.

Susan, I'm having the same problem and recently had all bloodwork done... Nothing out of alignment other than slightly low iron. Only thing I can figure out is I'm not taking in enough protein so I've recently started drinking protein shakes again... Either way, it's no where near as bad as it was a few months post op, but more loss than should be normal too.
IM me if you hear any other answers, please! I'm traveling the rest of this week and won't have a chance to check back on the boards. Thanks~

I had the same thing happen several months ago and went back to Washington to get a full check from my surgeon/PA... conclusion was protein (as everyone has said) wasn't where it should be (it wasn't bad but it wasn't consistent) and my iron was low as well. They said that added to stress will do it to a lot of us-- and I was stressed (just moved halfway across the country etc). I've taken iron and watched my protein and settled in here -somewhat- and it has pretty much stopped, or is back to what anyone would expect now. So I'd look at those couple things to start and hope they help!
