Thrilling Thursday WLS Express

 Good Morning everyone,

First time driver here so hold on to your hats, or in my case, the tiara.  I'm getting married in 2 days and can't sleep so starting up this train and chugging down the track.  It's going to be a thrilling day, we have the AC fixed, wedding plans are on track, I have an interview scheduled for Monday.  Doesn't get much better then that.  I am typing in the dark so I don't wake up Matt.  LOL

Today's assignment for those that wish to participate is to tell us what will give you a thrill today.  For me, getting more calls for interviews, hearing my Matty say he loves me, watching my doggies play together in the back yard and see the kitties peek around the corner to watch the doggies.  Life is good.

Well, Thrilling Thursday.  Don't know about that.  I'm just going to try to make it through the day.  I started a new FB page called Working for the Eagle.  Trying to get Postal employees to recognize that there is a lot of information out there that they need to know about.  I just want to keep people informed, not have a bieatch session.  Thats going to be made very clear at the outset!  We'll see how it goes, I hope I don't have to disband it because I don't want anyone coming back on me for it when others are being bad on there!

Anyway, guess I'll go take a shower and get ready for work!!  Ya'll have a great day!  Love ya!

LAURA-just my humble opinion, but that FB page sounds like something that could come back to bite YOU, even if YOU do not post anything "bad"...just sayin'. There's always going to be SOMEONE waiting around, jumping at the chance to rat you out.

What was your original injury? Are your "limitations" in black and white, by your DOCTORS? My HR background in OTJ is in the private sector-not Federal-so my limited knowledge may not help you at all.

It breaks my heart to see such a bubbly, friendly person, such as yourself, facing each morning with such dread and despair.

I agree with Gina on this. I heard the other day that 60 percent of employers look on facebook, my space, and twitter to check out people they're thinking about interviewing.
Even if you don't say anything bad, they might see you as an instigator or complainer.

My thrill today? Mine will pretty much depend on the weather. Our Homecoming parade got rained out Monday night, so it's rescheduled for tonight. The parade is a big deal, in our small town. It's followed by a community pep ralley at the new stadium, with fireworks, etc, etc, As y'all know..and are tired of hearing about...my youngest spawn is a football playing Senior...so this is my last year to be a Mama for all this hoopla. Tomorrow night is THE GAME, and it'll take a MONSOON to stop THAT puppy--so my thrill may be postponed until tomorrow.

Saturday's thrill will be witnessing two VERY special people join their lives. I'll share this moment, and time afterward with some of the MOST special people in MY life.

In the meantime, today's agenda...work..work..work..you get the picture..I got a call yesterday regarding a job I really wanted to apply for. BUT, I made a committment, where, I am, and I feel I am where God wants me to be..and I sure cannot afford to argue with THE BOSS!!!

OOOOHHHHHH....just thought of another thrill--happened yesterday--my HALLOWEEN COSTUME for Tom and Que's party came in the mail (I got it off ebay)...LOVE IT..

Okay...better go get presentable..or at least dressed...Hoope everyone has a THRILLING THURSDAY!!

My thrill today is spending the day with my 14 yr old Grandaughgter Teddy! We Haven't ever spent time just the two of us and I really want to get to know her!! Shopping and manicures!!!
