Lynn, I used to be able to start a forest fire with the heat/friction caused by wearing pantyhose... Since most offices have done away with 'business' dress I haven't owned a pair in 10+ years...

With that being said... I would wear a long skirt, no hose and whatever shoes you're comfortable in.   If it's a shorter skirt - shave your legs, apply spray tan OR a nice body/glitter powder and say to heck with it.  By the way, it's perfectly acceptable to wear a long skirt without pantyhose...

You won't ever find me in that horrible torture device again... And, I have a wedding to attend in a few weeks.  Can promise you - no hose for me!  I don't care who it offends - it's MY legs!!!  And like you, I have large, jiggly thighs....  Seriously, NOT going to happen.
