Good morning everyone,
You picked the right day for this Danni. I have an appointment at 11:30 for a massage gifted to me by my SIL then heading to Allen for lunch with a friend. After lunch, I will be getting my nails done and a pedi, also gifted by a friend for the wedding. Today is my pampering day.
We still don't have the AC fixed, we are waiting on one place to get paperwork so we can fax it to the other place. What a mess. At least the weather is cooler and we have the AC unit from my sister.
Saying prayers for all of you. Have a great day everyone.
Good morning train riders...I woke up this morning to an email from my daughter describing chest pain/fatigue/allergies that she's been having for a month on and off. Apparently she's too stressed at school and needs to drop her assistantship. I have to admit her schedule sucks. On Monday she goes from 8 am-8:30 PM with no more than a 30 min break all day. So I told her to drop her assistantship and somehow we'll make it financially without it. Sounds like I'll be working some OT to make up for it. That's $5000 a year we won't be getting. Also told her to get to a doc and get the chest pain checked out ASAP.
So after that good news what will make my day better? 1) Sonic Happy Hour. 2) Taking time to read a pleasure book. 3) Dinner at Abuelo's with my friends.
Peace, love and kisses...

Wow...what a day it's been already and it's only 8:55 am EST. It started early with me driving my hubby to the bus station. He left his van at work yesterday and rode home with me. I was there for his cousin's Chief's pinning ceremony. It was a great day - other than the fact that I didn't know it was going to be outside and didn't wear sun screen. Now I have a nice sunburn. OUCH
Today is gonna be a busy day again. It's military payday, which means grocery shopping time!! I spent about an hour last night planning our menu for the next 15 days and about 30 minutes this morning working on the shopping list. Now to go shopping. That's ONE of the things I'll be doing to make this a great day. I LOVE having the pantry, refrigerators and freezer full of healthy nutritious food to prepare for my family. :)
#2 is just the running around I'll be doing for the family. I know it sounds crazy, but I love being busy doing things to take care of everyone. I have to take Patrick's poster to school for him. We were about 1/2 way to the bus stop and he remembered he left it on the sofa. Oops. Since I drive in that general direction anyway going to the commissary, I told him I'd bring it by for him later today. I also have an NJROTC Booster Club meeting to attend tonight for the older two boys. This is the meeting where the CPT will lay out the plans for the upcoming year and will give us the dates of the first few Drill Competitions and fund raising events. We'll schedule chaperones for several of them, etc.
#3 is my favorite thing every Tuesday night. Church orchestra practice. I love going and playing and talking to everyone and just having a great time. It's tons of fun and is something I look forward to every week. By the time I get home at almost 10:00 I'm so jazzed from 3 hours of music that I can't settle down for at least 2 hours. Love my praise and worship time. :)
Still in the holding pattern with Justin and his lymph nodes. Waiting to hear the results from the bloodwork they had to send out. Should hear this week.... Really hoping we will so I can check that box off my list of things I don't need to "worry" about. Trying to maintain an even mood/attitude and not let the kids (especially Justin) know how much I truly am concerned about everything. We finally have an appt time/date for his follow up. October 2 at 8:00. Just a couple more weeks and hopefully we'll have answers. Please keep praying.
Other than that, I don't have much to report from VA. :) Love and prayers for all. MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!

2. get a winning lottery ticket for plastics and a house.
3. look back and know I AM doing the work right.
I will settle for an extra cup of coffee and actually taking my breaks and lunch time at work to read the board.

Good Morning OH Family!
OK....3 things to make it a great day:
1. Enjoying sitting here drinking a good cup of coffee
2. Going shopping for a few fall clothes
3. Meeting some special friends for dinner
Just going to run around today and try and stay dry. Rick's foot is healing, but he did too much yesterday he is going to stay off it today.Tomorrow is back to work.Well better jump in the shower. If you want to meet for dinner we are going to be at Abuelo's in Plano around 6:30ish.
Your loved!

I sent my book to the printers, but have to wait for the galley before it can go public. My husband and I have made an offer on retirement property and should know today if it's been accepted or not. And, another forum I moderate is going through some difficult changes. I wake up tired and stay 'brain numb' for the entire day, not awake enough to accomplish anything, but not sleepy enough to go back to bed. Aarrgghhh.
So, my three things:
1. (believe it or not) is posting this. It's forcing me to face myself.
2. dole out my vitamins and meds for the week (I know - it's already Tuesday!)
3. get some simple chores done. That always is a mood booster!
Thanks for being here. You guys make such a difference to me!
