"Happy" Judy Update
This bit of joyousness just in from MIchelle, Judy's niece:

Hello all,
So I have a lot to say, but I'll try to make it brief. Aunt Judy is speaking in small sentences, but her speech is a bit slurred and forced. I did understand some things very clearly, though....here's just some of it...
1. She was looking in my direction, and I didn't realize she was focusing on anything until she said, "204." I asked her "what?" and she said 204 again. DUH!!! I said, "YES! 204 is your room number you're in!" She was looking at the sticker on my shirt that they give when you sign in at the front desk!
2. So I proceeded, and said do you know who I am? She nodded her head yes. I asked her who am I? She said an astounding MICHELLE, like I should have known that! Then I asked who she is, and she said JUDY, like I needed to give her tougher questions! :)
3. I asked her if she saw the picture collage I made for her. She nodded no. I said let me show you-- you've probably seen it, and just didn't know I did it. I pointed me, Dennis, mom and grandma out, then pointed to the picture of Stacy's wedding, and said remember when we went there... again, a nod yes.She also said Cheep Cheep, and said Schnitzel and Wobbles, who she clearly was looking at the top of the collage where their picture is. I also showed her the "factoid sheet" I made for her, and she followed me and saw me pin it back up on her corkboard. Someone put up a picture of Schnitzel on a motorcycle at the Harley Dealership... I pointed to it, and she said, "Biker Schnitzel!" I told her how I got back on my motorcycle this weekend, and she said, "that's good."
4. I told her I was here for work this week, and that we wished for this. She repeated, "we wished for this." Some stuff she repeated, but a lot of stuff she said on her own, or would answer my open ended questions.
5. There was one time when I could see her get upset, and she cried out, "why, why, why, why, why?!!" I assured her that she's getting better, and that God is taking care of her. Honestly, that was rough. I had to talk gently to her to get her to calm own.
6. She also showed me her restraints... I told her that they were there so that she didn't pull tubes out. I told her that they were there so she didn't do it accidentally, and assured her that the hospital was helping her, and that everything looks ok and in order. I really believe that she understood me.
7. I told her that I was there a month ago, and that she is looking better. She was repeating stuff like, "Better?" I told her that she had more color, and that she looked better, and she lifted her head, as to have me look at her scar, which I couldn't see really well, but it looked better as far as I could tell, and I told her so.
There's MORE....
I told her how I am still e-mailing everyone, and how everyone is asking about her and praying for her. I mentioned some of you. As clear as she could, she told me, "let everyone know I'm ok." She said this twice. She also told everyone thank you for the prayers.
I was working her pretty hard, and could see she was wearing out, so I asked her twice if she wanted me to stay with her or go, and she said go. So I told her that I would be back tomorrow after work, and she said OK. I told her I loved her a few times. Each time, and before I left, she said, "I love you too."
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
God is Good... All the time.
