Good wet and dreary afternoon everyone.  Hope you all had a good weekend.  So now the week has started for all of us.

Not much going with me.  Had a great weekend.  Got to meet a bunch of gals from the Over Fifty Forum on Friday.  Enjoyed the visit.

Guess I will get to work now.  Be back later.

Deedles and I as well as a couple of others, frequent the Over Fifty Forum.  One of the gals there, Grammylew has been diagnosed with Adenosquamous carcinoma.  This is cancer.  It started with the gall bladder.  Please put her and her family in your prayers.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Meggie as she recovers from her surgery and is back to work soon.

Other prayer requests:

Dana requested we add Susan T. and her son to the prayer list.  Justin had a visit to the oncologist today and actions are being pursued.

Dana's friend Rachel is 25 years old and pregnant.  She has a 2 1/2 year old daughter and found out about a month ago she has inflammatory breast cancer.  They are taking the baby in October (2 months early) and will do a double masectomy.

Debra - asks for prayer for Ramon who is in the hospital from his near drowning experience.

Debra also asks for prayers for a friend of mine, Yvonne's husband Kevin.  He is in the hospital.  That is all we know for now.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.

Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family and for her and her spouse's health issues.

Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story.  Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George....please add my son Shawn's girl friend Natalie to the job hunters list.   She went to her training today and was let go  because the restaurant she was working and training at last  put her down as UNHIREABLE due to calling in sick even though she was running a fever.  That does NOT make sense to me at all.   Oh well.....I am sure times have changed alot since I worked.   They are both unemployed now with No money at all coming in.

Hugs and blessings ~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

Hi George;

I having a Monday. I thought I was past feeling sad that I have no where to be on Mondays, but it hit me hard again today.

We had another showing on the house today. That's 7 in 10 days. I wish I were getting that many interviews right now. We also got an email that our dream house in Denton County is no longer available. That bummed me out. We're thinking of heading up that way this weekend. I guess we can look for a new dream house then.

I hope everyone has a wonderful night. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Evening George,

Good day here, very busy, I am blessed, and very thankful.  Also very tired, very long 12 hr days.  Got my eyes checked today, rx changed, should have new glasses by the 24th...  Weight loss has made my eyes better, WooHoo!  Still sad to have to pay the big $$ for new glasses, though...  Sheesh, just can't make me happy these days....  This rainy weather is driving my sinus' crazy, my nose can't decide if it wants to run or be totally stopped up...  Anywhooo, going to go hit the pillows.....

Prayers for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Special prayers for Dee as she goes into surgery in the morning, prayers for a complication free surgery and recovery.  Special prayers for those hurting tonight for what ever reason.  Blessings to all.

Avis

My eyes got better post surgery, too. My opthamologist said it was because of the better diet and blood sugar levels being better regulated.

Evenin' George...

BUSY day today...Had to get up at 5:30, leave to take Paul to the surgicenter which is near midtown.  Dropped him off, raced back out to Katy to get Sarah to school in time, then as soon as I got her on the bus, I hauled it back into town so I could hopefully talk to Paul's surgeon just to touch base with her before they got started.  Had to have been fate as morning traffic was light for me and I got back in there just in time.  He went back and about 30 min. later doc came out and said the choked off nerve was one of the tightest she has EVER seen.  The case was so unique they took interal pics so they could use them as examples at the office.  Took him a bit to look a tad human, got home, got his foot up and he rested all afternoon.  The two older girls had Open House at school so we went to that.  Doc had told Paul he could, IF he was off it during the day.  He just moved slowly.  I took Heather's classes and he did the other.  Of course, EVERY teacher of Heather's said the exact same thing before I walked in the door..."OMG, you absolutely HAVE to be Heather's mom".  Yep, I made a carbon copy with her!!!  We came home, I got Sarah to bed, lunches made and now I'm ready to hit the hay myself.  Paul will be home again tomorrow.  Just another day for him to keep that foot up to reduce swelling.  Now, only if he actually STAYS OFF IT!!!

Ok, gotta run.  My eyes are watering so much (allergies) so need to go find my allergy medicine!!!
