The NIGH****CHMAN - Sunday 9/13

Good evening.  What a wet one it has been!  I can't believe the Rangers may get all their games in this weekend.  If you got a chance to look at the game that started a couple of hours ago (4PM or so), the field is WET.  A ball wa**** by Chris Davis into the hill behind centerfield.  ANd that is where it went, into the hill.  It did not bounce, just sunk in the mud.

Deedles and I as well as a couple of others, frequent the Over Fifty Forum.  One of the gals there, Grammylew has been diagnosed with
Adenosquamous carcinoma.  This is cancer.  It started with the gall bladder.  Please put her and her family in your prayers.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Dana's friend Rachel is 25 years old and pregnant.  She has a 2 1/2 year old daughter and found out about a month ago she has inflammatory breast cancer.  They are taking the baby in October (2 months early) and will do a double masectomy.

Debra - asks for prayer for Ramon who is in the hospital from his near drowning experience.

Debra also asks for prayers for a friend of mine, Yvonne's husband Kevin.  He is in the hospital.  That is all we know for now.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house.

Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family and for her and her spouse's health issues.

Vanessa also asked for a request for continued prayer for The Dunford Family and all of their friends, doctors, nurses, medical staff, and even all of the people that have never met Elizabeth or the Dunford's but have prayed for and/or have been affected by their story.  Elizabeth's pain is over but the real, deep pain has yet to begin - especially for Michelle.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl

Hey George...
Glad your Rangers got to play.  Eww though, mud ball doesn't sound too fun!!!  With all the money these teams charge for tickets, MAKE you pay for their food (you're lucky that they don't make you toss stuff out like they do here in Houston), I think ALL the ball fields, regardless of baseball or football, need to have those retractable roofs.  If the weather is decent, then the roof is open.  If it rainy/snowy and overall crappy, then close the roof and make it decent for everyone.  Sheeesh.

Ok, gotta make this one short.  Paul is having his foot surgery tomorrow so getting a few things lined up now as I have to go take him to the surgicenter, then back out to Katy (yeah, THAT should be fun in morning traffic) so I can get Sarah to school on time, then BACK to mid town in hopes of getting there before his surgery is done.  UGH!

To make the chaos even more lovely at the house, the two older girls have school pictures tomorrow.  I wrote out the two checks, put the darn checks in the envelope provided by the photographer and handed them to each of the two older kids.   I said, "GO PUT THIS IN YOUR PURSES NOW SO YOU WILL NOT FORGET IT TOMORROW AS I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COME BRING IT TO YOU IF YOU SOMEHOW MISPLACE IT".  Well, Viktoria did EXACTLy what I told her to do.  Clearly Heather didn't because she just came down here acting like her hair was on fire because she couldn't find the envelope.  I said, "go look in your room as I am most confident you went up there and got off task of putting it IN your purse and laid it down somewhere."  Sure enough, that's EXACTLY what she did.  She was in a foul mood for not being able to find it (and whose fault is that??? clearly not mine but she sure is acting like it is...) so I need to go up and nip some attitude square in the a$$.  I am SO not wanting to deal with her mouth at 10:45 pm!!!  Grrr...

Check back with ya' later....

Well Sis, being a traditional baseball fan, I must disagre with you.  I hate covered stadiums.  The only thing that needs to be covered is the fans.  You should play in the elements.  Football and baseball.  Sorry, but I still loves ya.

Good luck to Paul in the AM.

So, did you get Heather straightened out?  LOL.  Life must be so much fun having two teenaged females in the house.  I think I feel sorriest for Paul.  LOL.

Yeah, yeah, I knew you'd be on the other side of the fence on that one!   Tough cookies, if I'm gonna have to sit there the whole time, I wanna be comfy!  Last week when we were there, OMG, aside of a few other dorks, the lady next to us literally yippin' like a dog was driving me INSANE!  It was like she was yelping.  I have NO IDEA what she was trying to accomplish by making that horrible noise, but it got old VERY fast.   She also was an extremely loud laugher.  She would talk with the people in her group and start to laughing, geez oh Pete, shush already!!!

Yes, Heather found her money, it is now IN the purse (where I told her to put it HOURS ago knowing FULL WELL she'd be running around like her hair was on fire when she realized she couldn't find it!) and she has wisely opted to shut her mouth.  Of course Paul catches it on both sides.  He was trying to help her find it so would ask her a question.  She snipped back at him with some snide comment, then he would say something to me and I was frustrated so barked a reply back to him....he went upstairs and just shut the bedroom door!    It's really not the "two teenagers" that gets the household in an uproar, but when you throw the 7 yr. old in the mix, THAT'S when all hell breaks loose.  One wouldn't think that quiet little thing would create such a stir but she can!!!  Even Heather just by herself though would make this house 150% drama filled.  UUUUGH!

Hey George;

It's been a very chilled out weekend here. We had a total of 5 showings on the house Sunday through Saturday. I don't know if any of them will turn into an offer, but at least we're getting traffic. Hopefully someone will love it.

Friday, I took a cooking class with Maida. It was so fun. While I was gone, the house showed, so that was convenient. We did the radio show Friday night and then after the show, the neighbors came over and we played Mario Party 8 on the Wii until after 2am.

Saturday, we went out to breakfast and picked my car up from the dealership while another showing went on. My A/C is fixed and it was all covered by warranty, so that was wonderful. I had my social club luncheon and then ran some errands with my mom and step-dad's ex-wife (she and my mom have become good friends. Odd, I know.). I got home, changed and went to the neighbor's for dinner. After dinner, we played more Mario Party. I think we got home around 2am again.

Today, I woke up early, watched some movies and finally got caught up on my email. I hadn't checked it much over the weekend. I ended up doing one job application with a company a friend works for and read through all of the other postings I'd received since Friday. None of them were in line with what I'm looking for. I wrote a letter of recommendation for one of my former colleagues. And, I made my list of things I need to accomplish this week. Hopefully that will help keep me on track as the last few weeks have seemed less than productive.

Have a good night. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Good evening Jennifer.  You are so organized.

Glad the house is showing.  Hope one of them materializes into an offer.
